DHIKR AND DUAS

1) NIYYAT WHEN FASTING

Nawaytu sawma ghadin li adaa-i fardhi shahri Ramadhana li
haadhihis sanati lillaahi ta’aala.
Translation: I intend to fast tomorrow to perform an obligatory act in
the month of Ramadhan this year for the sake of Allah Ta’ala.

• It is compulsory to make intention before you fast. If you fast

without intending, your fast will not be valid.

2) 300 TASBIHAT IN THE MORNING AND EVENING

1) Subhaanal-lah walhamdulil-lah wa laa ilaaha il-lal-lah wal-
laahu akbar wa laa hawla wa laa quw-wata il-laa bil-lah. 100x
Translation: Glory be to Allah Ta'ala and All praises be to Him and
there is no God worthy of worship except Him and Allah Ta’ala is
the Greatest and there is no might and power except Him.
• Reward: Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W) said: The uttering of
SubhaanAllaah walhamdulillaah wa laa ilaaha illallaah wallaahu
akbar is dearer to me than anything else over which the sun rises.
• Reward: By uttering Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaah, you
will enter through a special door in Paradise.
2) Allaahumma salli ‘alaa sayyidina Muhammad wa ‘alaa aa-li
sayyidina Muhammad. 100x
Translation: Oh Allah Ta’ala, send salutation upon Nabi
Muhammad (S.A.W) and upon His family.
• Reward: 10 good deeds will be wriiten for you, 10 of your sins
will be erased and 10 degrees/ranks will be raised in your degree/
rank.
3) Astaghfirul-laahal ‘adhiim al-ladhii laa ilaaha il-la huwal hay-
yul qay-yuum wa atuubu ilaih. 100x
Translation: I seek forgiveness from Allah, The Most Great There is
no God worthy of worship except him, The Ever-Living and Ever-
Lasting and I repent towards Him.
• Reward: Allah Ta’ala will forgive your sins.
3) DUA WHEN BREAKING YOUR FAST
1) ALLAHUMMA LAKA SUMTU WA BIKA AAMANTU WA
‘ALAIKA TAWAKKALTU WA ‘ALA RIZQIKA AFTARTU
Translation: Oh Allah! I have fasted for You, believed in You, placed my
trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance.

2) DHAHABADH DHAMA-U WABTALLATIL URUUQU WA

THABATAL AJRU INSHAA ALLAH
Translation: The thirst has gone, the veins are moistened and the reward
is assured, if Allah wills.

4) DUA IN THE 1ST , 2ND & 3RD 10 DAYS OF RAMADHAN

1) 1ST 10 DAYS OF RAMADHAN – DAYS OF MERCY

ALLAHUMMARHAMNI YA ARHAMAR RAAHIMIIN 100x

Translation: Oh Allah! Have mercy on me, Oh the Most Merciful of
all the merciful ones.

2) 2ND 10 DAYS OF RAMADHAN – DAYS OF FORGIVENESS

ALLAHUMMAGHFIRLI DHUNUUBI YA RABBAL

‘AALAMIIN 100x
Translation: Oh Allah, forgive my sins. Oh The Lord of the universe.

3) 3RD 10 DAYS OF RAMADHAN – DAYS OF SEEKING REFUGE

ALLAHUMMA ‘AATIQNI MINAN NAARI WA ADKHILNIL

JANNATA YA RABBAL ‘AALAMIIN 100x
Translation: Oh Allah, Save me from hell and let me enter in Jannah,
Oh The Lord of the universe.

5) DUA ON LAYLATUL QADR

ALLAHUMMA INNAKA ‘AFUWWUN TUHIBBUL ‘AFWA

FA’FU ‘ANNI
Translation: Oh Allah, You are forgiving and you love to forgive so
forgive me.
