Disaster Management- Interdisciplinary project / IX

As per CBSE guidelines, students of Class IX have to submit a handwritten project on Disaster management.
Students are requested to complete this project by 1st week of July 2022.

You can take one or more topics for the research. You can also mix many topics to prepare the project. Once
you select your topic you can contact the concerned teacher for further clarification or help.

Topics which can be taken up for research are the following:-

1. Students will prepare a Power Point on any one disaster and its management.
The Power Point should include 10 Slides- cover slide, acknowledgement, introduction, and topic
related matter.

2. Objectives: The main objectives of giving project work on Disaster Management to the students are
to:
a. create awareness in them about different disasters, their consequences and management
b. prepare them in advance to face such situations
c. ensure their participation in disaster mitigation plans
d. enable them to create awareness and preparedness among the community.

3. Subjects covered – Geography, Disaster Management, Computer, Art, Languages (Radio Show).

5. The distribution of marks over different aspects relating to Project Work is as follows:
a. Content accuracy, originality and analysis- 5 marks
b. Presentation and creativity -3 marks
c. Viva Voce - 2

6. The PPT made by the students should subsequently be shared among themselves through
interactive sessions, panel discussions etc.
