Case study 1: Leak detection in a power engine
Traditional techniques were unable to detect water in a stationary
power engine. Shell Remote Sense enabled us to monitor real-
time oil quality and spot unusual behaviors. Machine learning
helped to detect the source of the water leak. This led to reduced
maintenance and parts costs, avoided unplanned downtime and
resulted in better engine health for longer engine life.
Shell Remote Sense is part of our wider oil condition monitoring offer.
