Possessive Adjectives
Possessive adjectives show ownership (who it belongs to).

Pronoun Possessive Adjective (Singular) Example

I my My card is red.

You your Your house is beautiful.

He his His computer is new.

She her Her hair is short.

It its Its fur is brown.

Possessive Adjectives go before nouns.

Note: Its is a possessive adjective.

Examples:
• Please keep your office neat.
• The cat's tail is long. --> Its tail is long.

Imperatives

You use the Imperative to give orders, instructions and warnings.

Please note:
With the Imperative, you do not use a subject.

Example:
You wash the dishes. ✘ => Wash the dishes. ✓

You use the infinitive form (no "to").

Example:
To come in please. ✘ => Come in please. ✓

Examples:
• Finish your vegetables.
• Wash your plate.
