I have interned at Amikus Qriae as a part of my Non- Teaching

Credit Course. During my internship, I became familiar with the
Judgement writing , case comment etc.

During my course of internship, I had written a research paper on the

topic religious laws and religious crimes in the developing countries.
I got to learn a lot of things. While writing it I came across a lot of
facts which were completely unknown to me. Also that religious laws
differ from country to country. I also got to know how religious
crimes are committed in the name of religious rituals.

I also learnt the formatting of a case comment. And what is the

difference between case comment and case study. I took a case of
fundamental rights. Which was the Minerva mills v. union of India.

Apart from the following, I also did a judgment writing.

The internship was a very fruitful and enriching experience. I learned

a lot during the process of internship apart from application of the
theoretical knowledge in the practical arena, I also learned the art of
interacting with new people. And to coordinate with them on a virtual
platform.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE/ OUTCOME

Internships are quickly becoming essential for any job and can offer a
lot of experience to students hoping to get ahead. But how can you get
the most out of yours? Well, I personally learned many core things
from my internship experiencethat will remain with me for lifetime
are as follows:-

1. Speak up: Since it was my first time interning at a law firm, I

was really scared and hesitant to ask anything. For the first two
days, I barely communicated with the people and silently did the
work I was asked to do. But my boss pushed me to open up and
speak up my thoughts. Well, It really worked, I started
communicating with everyone and speaking up my mind, and
was appreciated and helped me know my true potential.
2. Take on as much as you can: In the entire one month, I learned
many new things. In the beginning, I was only assigned to
reading case files and making briefs, but then my boss made me
involve in other things too, like drafting and client handling.
Well, to be true, I was scared a bit when drafting or in front of
the client, always thinking what if something goes wrong? But
by God’s grace, everything went well and I experienced every
aspect of the legal world. So, I would suggest, don’t hesitate to
take up new challenges, you never know what might interest
you.
3. Practical application:Being a first-year law student, I was
aware with the basic theoretical knowledge of contract law, tort
and jurisprudence. But during fulfilling my responsibilities and

lOMoARcPSD|15439891

task, I learned how to apply theoretical knowledge into practical

world. There is a lot of difference in the written laws and the
application of laws, and it needs to be great amount of time and
research to understand and interpretate the laws in practical.
4. Work hard: This is an obvious one, but do not waste time. You
are there to work, and they did not have to give you this
opportunity. Make the most of your time and theirs.
5. Talk with your co- workers: Co-workers have a lot of
experience and they have obviously made it in that field. Ask
them how they got this far and what advice they have for you.
You could learn a lot and get some great ideas.
6. Be thankful: The best thing to do is send a handwritten note
thanking them for the experience and opportunity to work with
them. It will leave them with good thoughts about you and you
can most likely refer to them for a recommendation later.
