1. Find the Sp.Enthalpy and Sp. Entropy of steam at 2 bar pressure and 2000C
2. Find the Specific volume and Sp.Enthalpy of 2 kg steam at 3 bar and 90% quality
3. Find specific enthalpy and entropy of 1000C saturated vapour steam
4. In a container 1 kg steam is there at 5 bar and 3000C. Find its volume of container.
5. In a closed vessel 10 kg of steam is kept at 3 bar pressure and 85% quality. Find the mass
of water and vapour present in steam
6. A Turbine works between 10 bar pressures 3500C to 2 bar saturated vapour condition. Find
the work done by 1 kg steam.
7. A pump work between 1 bar pressures to 4 bar pressure to lift water. Find work done by
pump assuming saturated liquid at inlet condition.
8. In a cyclic process 10 kJ of heat is added in one process and 3 kJ of heat is rejected in
another process. If there is 12 kJ of work is developed in one process then how much of
work done in any process of the same cycle.
9. A system was at 0.2 bar pressure and 15 kJ of heat was added to it. After that the gas
volume of the system increased to 0.3 m3 from initial value without changing the pressure.
Find out the change in internal energy of the system in that process neglecting change in
KE and PE.

Find the enthalpy, entropy and volume of steam at the outlet.
14. 1 kg of Steam at 2 bar pressure and 90% quality is heated in a rigid fixed wall container to
5 bar vapour. Find the volume of container and condition of steam at final condition.
15. A reversible heat engine is working between 300K to 1000K. Find the efficiency of
engine.

input to engine is 15 kW find the efficiency of engine and maximum work possible by
engine. Also find the Carnot efficiency or maximum efficiency of heat engine.
17. A heat engine produces 7 kW of energy with an efficiency of 45%. Find the heat energy
input and rejected energy of the engine.
18. A reversible refrigerator working between -50C to 270C. Find the COP of the refrigerator
and maximum work required to run it if heat leakage to it is 5 kW.
19. A heat pump is running using 6 KW of energy from electric source with COP of 1.5. Find
the heat supplied to high temperature space regularly.
