KYLE’S DAS DESKTOP LAYOUT

INTRODUCTION:

NOTE: Your colors may vary from mine. Certain settings are stored outside of the desktop files
and aren’t shared.

This layout is what I personally use and includes a few helper hotkeys. Some of these hotkeys
may need to be assigned values but the script is there for you. Hotkeys are described below.

Please note, this layout has *a lot* of indicators on a chart loaded. It’s meant as a jumping off
point and users can pull back on what is displayed if they so choose by right-clicking the chart,
selecting Study Config, and then removing the studies they don’t want. Your chart setup is
unique to you and what you find useful, so expect your own config to evolve over time.

Two versions are offered, the IBCO version is for Interactive Broker users and the OTHER
version is for users of CMEG / DAS DEMO SIM / TD.

Of the two broker versions, one is configured for a 1080P monitor and the other is configured for
a 4K monitor.

INSTALLATION:

1. Navigate File Explorer to C:\DAS Trader {..}\

2. Rename the desktop.dsk in this folder to desktop.dsk.orig and the Hotkey.htk file to
Hotkey.htk.orig.
3. Copy the Hotkey.htk file from the zipped folder into the DAS Trader Pro folder.
4. Copy the desktop.dsk file for your monitor resolution of 1080p or 4k (folders), and the
relevant broker version (folders) to the DAS Trader folder. (e.g. if you have a 1080p
monitor and are with IBCO, you’d copy the desktop.dsk file from the zipped folder ->
1080p/ibco folder to the DAS Trader Pro’s directory.

ALERTS:
There are no pre-installed alerts as those are stored with the config.cfg file that is more specific
may not work across versions of DAS so this was not included. None-the-less, sound effect files
are included.

HOTKEYS:

** Users need to assign their own keyboard keys to this as most are unassigned.

NAME → Description

● Alert - Add Alert Greater Than → Adds an alert if the price goes greater than the clicked
price.
● Alert - Add Alert Less Than → Adds an alert if the price goes less than the clicked price.
● Chart - 1min → 1 minute Chart
● Chart - 5min → 5 minute Chart
● Chart - 15min → 15 minute Chart
● Chart - 60min → 60 minute Chart
● Chart - Daily → Daily Chart
● Chart - Zoom to First Candle → Resets chart view to the first candle (the active) on the
chart.
● Helper - Lock All Montages → Locks All Montages
● Helper - UnLock All Montages → Unlocks All Montages
● Helper - Switch to Tab Default → Switches to the tab “Default”
● Helper - Switch to Tab PnL → Switches to the tab “PnL”
● Helper - Switch to Tab Premarket → “Switches to the tab “Premarket”
● Layouts - Duplicate Window → Duplicates the selected window UI element (e.g. if a 1
minute chart is selected, it’d spawn a new 1 minute chart with the same settings).
● Layouts - Save Layout → Saves the layout (desktop.dsk)
● Panic → Exits all positions as fast as possible.
● Tools - FibonacciLine → Fibonacci Line tool
● Tools - HLine - Preset Bookmap Blue → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Blue, 2px width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Default → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Black, 1px width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Default-Light → Sets the HorizontalLine color White, 1px width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Green → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Green, 2px width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Orange → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Orange, 2px width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Pink → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Pink, 2px width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Purple → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Purple, 2px width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Red → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Red, 2px width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Red Thin → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Red, but thin, 1px
width
 ● Tools - HLine - Preset Teal → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Teal, 2px width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Thin Pink → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Pink, but thin, 1px
width
● Tools - HLine - Preset Yellow → Sets the HorizontalLine color to Yellow, 2px width
● Tools - HorizontalLine → Select the HorizontalLine tool.
● Tools - Rectangle → Select the Rectangle tool.
● Tools - Remove All Userlines on Chart → Removes all the user created lines from the
selected chart (including globals).

MONTAGE HOTBUTTONS:

Hotbuttons preinstalled on the montage are listed below.

[Row 1]
● Sell 50% → Sells 50% of the position at Ask+0.05
● Sell ALL → Sells ALL of the position at Ask+0.05
● Cover 50% → Covers 50% of the position at Bid-0.05
● Cover ALL → Covers ALL of the position at Bid-0.05

[Row 2]
● Reset → This resets the montage to LIMIT, blanks the “Display Shares” box, and sets
Shares to the position. It does not reset the price field.

● CXL ALLSYMB → Cancels all the open orders for the currently loaded symbol.

● Risk Calc → If you used a Dynamic Hotkeys to enter a position and the montage still has
a “Trigger Price” loaded, it’ll calculate the dollar risk value and put it into the Price box.

● FinViz → Opens a browser window with finviz, loading the SYMB in the montage.

SUPPLEMENTALS:

A few files are included with the download if you want them.

● Settings References → Various images of my configs for certain elements. Just given as
a reference.
● Hotkey.htk → The hotkeys listed above.
● _reset.csv → This file can be loaded into a blank MarketView (right-click → Import) to
load a bunch of empty rows to start the day out.
● Market-Segments-Watchlist.csv → This is a list of sector tracking indexes and important
symbols for those sectors. Depending version of DAS, the columns may import
misaligned.
● Chart_Dark_1min_OrderSide_Chart.cst → This is the small “large view” (has a
top/bottom margin of 250%) to see further ahead of the stock. It’s the narrow 1min chart
on the left of the normal 1min.
● Chart_Dark_1min_Chart.cst → The 1minute chart attached to the main montage.
● Chart_Dark_1min_SPY_Chart.cst → The minimalistic 1 minute SPY chart, seen on the
4k layout.
● Chart_Dark_5min_Chart.cst → The 5minute chart attached to the main montage.
● Chart_Dark_15min_Chart.cst → The 15minute chart attached to the main montage on
the 4k layout.
● Chart_Dark_60min_Chart.cst → The 60minute chart attached to the main montage on
the 4k
● Chart_Dark_ATR_Small_Chart.cst → The special mini “ATR” chart.
● DarkDailyPremarketTab_Chart.cst → The Daily chart found on the Premarket Tab.
● Sound Files → Various sound files are included if you want to set up some alerts with
them.
