Architecture Agency in reply to a job advertisement. He attends
an interview for the post of projects manager, where he is
received by Mrs Smith, Director of Human Resources.

Mrs Smith: Please sit down, Mr Hopes.

Mr Hopes: Thank you.
Mrs Smith: Did you have trouble finding the office?

Mrs Smith: Good. Now, we have received applications from
a lot
of candidates but, quite frankly, your curriculum was
the most interesting to us.
Mr Hopes: I have a lot of experience in this field.

Mrs Smith: We are looking for a Projects Manager who will manage a team of designers

take care of relations with the client, a German estate agent. You can speak
some German I believe?
Mr Hopes: Yes, I studied German at university for three years and I worked for a year in
Frankfurt.
Mrs Smith: Excellent. It is a post which carries a lot of responsibility. A Projects Manager
has
to make a lot of important decisions.
Mr Hopes: I consider myself as very resourceful person. I'm efficient and disciplined and
