Colored Brain Combination – Genetic & 2nd Color

This report attempts to spell out the combination of genetic and learned Colored Brain in
individual. It is discovered by Lily Lau through her course of conducting Colored Brain
workshop; that individual thinking does not solely depend on genetic color alone. A person’s
thinking is based on the combination of factors, both genetic and learned.
Based on the concept of Colored Brain Communication under Directive Communication
Psychology, it is said that we are born with one genetic Colored Brain. Depending on our
upbringing, education, profession, corporate culture of your organization and other factors,
we learn to think in other colors too. They have an impact in the way we behave and the
process on how we think.
Assumption of this report:

 That our genetic Colored Brain is constant and people who have the same Colored Brain
will think in similar ways.
 The variation will depend on the combination of the other 3 colors of CBCI profile.
 The other 3 colors are learned and most of us would have at least one which is more
developed.
 This report only attempts to cover the 2nd color which is believed to be strongest next to
the genetic.
 The 2nd color is developed due to work or environmental requirement for superior
performance. It is your mental flexibility to deal with situation.
 A person performs on 2nd color will never be as natural as genetic.
 Despite being excellence in 2nd color, his trait behaviours is still fundamentally based on
the genetic color.
 Temporary under stress situation, the 2nd color will prevail to control the process thinking.
 It can also suffice in an acculturated environment and you behave ‘as if’ this your natural
genetic processing color.
 An example, if you have worked for many years in the same organization and performing
the same job role with same expectation, and the characteristics of environment differs
from your natural brain processor, your brain is ‘automated’ and know what to do and
most likely it is your 2nd color that is performing ‘like’ your natural color. Once you go
home and be relax, your natural color will suffice and take over. The brain knows which
color to use at what situation.
 This report is applied on assumption you have completed the CBCI which indicate your
profile of the 4 Colors.
1. Genetic - Green
2nd Color - Red A Green Brain with Red combination is someone who is able to think
objectively amid vivid big picture. He will try to clarify despite being
blur and look for some form of structure to support making decision.

As a genetic Green Brain is chaotic in nature, with Red as the 2nd

strong color will help to stabilize spontaneity and promote thinking
through process. The style of processing and re-processing of ideas
will be less impulsive as he will do some form of analysis before
action. His action of brainstorming and bouncing of ideas is to search
for clarity to reach objective. Despite being random, his outcome of
work can be well structured with qualitative facts and figures.

Conflictingly, he will not be long term and as strategic as a natural

Red Brain.

2nd Color - Blue A Green Brain with Blue combination is someone who is able to
connect ideas and inter-act with people well. In addition to being
action driven, innovative and creative, you are sensitive to emotional
reactions. You connect well and stimulate communication.

Being Green in nature, you do not overly put your personal emotion
and not have the patient to listen well. You may quickly want to help
and move on unlike a natural Blue who may spend time and connect
at the emotional level.

He can get distracted easily and be lost in time in dealing with

matters. He can be a messy person and highly disorganize.

2nd Color - Purple A Green Brain with Purple combination is someone who is able to
look at marco and micro. They complement each other. He can
stretch his mind to focus at details but being fast action in nature, he
will not be able to focus for too long. He can get bored easily and may
not be focusing at one thing at a time.

As detail as it can be, he will not strive for perfection. He understands

the importance of moving on and will not delve overly deep in the
issue. He knows when to stop when he gets what he is looking for. He
learns to be more patient for the need to be detail oriented.

He will not be easily careless as he pays attention to details. He can

be organized and messy within some form of structure. He won’t be
able to constantly maintain a tip-top filing system, but he knows
where the files are kept.
2. Genetic - Red
2nd Color - Green A Red Brain with Green combination is someone who is objective
driven with the capability to look at big picture. You will take action
when you get clarity on end result to achieve.

Being Red by nature, this person is stable and does not take random
action. He is neither a risk taker and will solve problem and analyse
logic at faster speed. He accepts flexibility and allows mobility as long
as it brings viable solutions.

As a long term planner, he is able to formulate step-by-step short

term plan well with the end in mind. He could be creative and seek
alternative to solutions. He is able to manage chaos by thinking
through fast.

2nd Color - Blue A Red Brain with Blue combination is someone who has the balance
of being objective and at the same time feel with intuitive emotion.
The blue brain aspect complements his red brain strengths to be
more caring and people oriented. You develop flexibility and get less
frustrated with contingencies. You also derive meaning through in-
sight interpretation of people and situation.

Being Red as genetic, your expression of emotion could be selective

depending on the people you are with or the situation you are in. In
decision making, it is your objectivity and clarity that will override the
sensitivities.

2nd Color - Purple A Red Brain with Purple combination is someone who has a
structured processor. You are objective oriented with focus on
details. Your work is of quality with strong rationalization and solid
supporting data.

Being Red as genetic, you do not over-indulge in looking for

information. Your primary focus is still to achieve objective with
clarity. As long as data in hand are sufficient, you do not bother to
look for more unlike a Purple. You will be able to communicate
precisely on the date and information required.

On the contrary, you may not be as organize as it does not come so

natural to be neat and tidy.
3. Genetic - Blue
2nd Color - Green A Blue Brain with Green combination is someone who is able to
connect emotion and perception in association with ideas. People
skill is the strength. You are versatile, fluid and can play many roles.
You can take things as they change and adapt well into the situation
with people.

Being Blue in nature, you still need to connect and there must be a
flow, unlike Green who is chaotic in nature. Your sensitivity will do
well to balance the fast action in getting things done. You will not be
view as ‘pushy’ but a ‘smooth operator’.

This person can be highly disorganize as things are done based on

mood. He can get carried away or be lost in time once his passion is
fired up.

2nd Color - Red A Blue Brain with Red combination is someone who has learned to
manage situation with certain level of objectivity. You understand the
need for tangibility and express your emotions within boundaries.

Being Blue in nature, your sensitivity will override the factual aspect
in making decision. You have the strength to look at situation in
different perspective to make judgement. You see the intangibility
within certain form.

Being a caring person, you are clearer where to draw the line
between work and personal matters although you face internal
conflict in making decision. By relying on the Red, you may be able to
manage emotion better.

2nd Color - Purple A Blue Brain with Purple combination is someone who connects their
world with sensory experience and data. You have fundamental
similarity in strategy for planning and organizing to create greater in-
sight for communication.

Being Blue, you are a natural multi-tasker. Amid the multiple jobs you
do, you have the capability to go into detail and spend time for
thorough research. In addition to interpreting the meaning of event,
your attention to micro details support the formulation for better
decision making. Due to your requirement to connect at intuition and
deeper level for data, your time management to meeting deadline
could be a challenge.
4. Genetic - -Purple
2nd Color - Green A Purple Brain with Green combination is someone who focuses on
micro and knowing the importance of big picture. As much as he
wants to find out more, he knows the necessity of taking fast action.
He has the balance of being detail and yet with speed, to a certain
extent. He is comfortable to delegate and make fast decision for
things that are routine. But for things that are new, he will still be
very much involved paying attention to details.

You are good at making plan in brief and summarized format yet with
sufficient data support. You can easily define outcome from crisis
based on your systematic thinking. Your action to manage chaos will
be superb as your methodical mental processing sees the multiple
connection for solutions.

2nd Color - Red A Purple Brain with Red combination is someone who is structured
with strong processing for information and analysis. You are primarily
content driven with focus on information with capability to keep
objectivity. Your strong desire to get detailed information is to get
clarity with the end in mind. You understand the need to be objective
and do not over-indulge for information quest unnecessarily.

You are able to utilise your systematic processing for strategic

planning. You consider multiple possibilities with long term view. You
are a good problem solver with solid fundamentals of information
and planning.

2nd Color - Blue A Purple Brain with Blue combination is someone who connects
through data and senses. You have the capability to interpret tangible
data with intangible intuition and make decision based on details and
personal observation of surrounding. Your perception has both
accuracy of facts and emotional sensory.

Your concern and care for people gives you the advantage to see the
human factor from the data centric perspective. You cross-relate and
reference actions and solutions with deep emotions. As a result, you
manage people and organize events well.

Your capability to multi-task is easy for work that are routine. By

nature, you are tidy and neat and your work is surrounded by
creation of system.
