2- Artisan fishing:
Artisan fishing: It is the fishing that is carried out by traditional fishermen according to their means using small fishing boats such as fiberglass, which
represents 25037% (97) of the artisanal fishing boats, and the length of these boats ranges between 5 to 9 meters, as well as using 688 artisanal fishing vessels.
Most of this number is concentrated in the governorate of South Al Sharqiyah, and the length of these vessels ranges between 12 and 32 meters. The number of
artisanal fishermen who practiced the profession of fishing during the year 2020 AD is estimated at about 51,561, and artisanal fishing contributed more than 94%
of the total production.
