This document provides details of an assessment for a course on connecting wide area networks. The assessment involves completing several configuration tasks on network devices to address common issues with data link protocols and implement a systematic troubleshooting approach to resolve complex WAN connectivity problems. Specifically, students are asked to: 1) Set up OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols between routers; 2) Establish PPP multilink and CHAP authentication between two routers; 3) Configure GRE over IPSec tunnels between two routers; 4) Set up SNMP and NetFlow monitoring on other routers; and 5) Install a server with SNMP/NetFlow monitoring software and ensure it can access the internet. The tasks are expected to take between 2 to 5 minutes each
