Searching for my last news update in my high school life, I wanted an article
worth reading and sharing. And indeed it is. Scanning through the lists of articles, I decided to
choose this since it was interesting to know how scientist could discover or recover the past.
This article states how their previous discoveries of Martian meteorites in two
different places are connected to each other. And these Martian meteorites are the only object
they can study and observe for their further research. So with the meteorites, they saw features,
which led them to their conclusions. And with the technology today, they have studied the
composition of these Martian meteorites. With the features and composition, the researcher has
evidence that Mars had water in the past due to the presence of carbonaceous matter with clay
phases. With the meteorites, the researchers concluded that Mars has revealing presence of active
water reservoir with significant carbon component. But, even if these meteorites show evidence
of water, the researchers stated that it may be contaminated making their conclusions possibly
wrong. Therefore, they need more sample to have a stronger evidence to show and prove that life
in Mars was present.
After reading the article, who wouldn’t be amazed on how a simple meteorite
from another planet can reveal their past. With the technology today, we can know and discover
new things, revealing more truths about other or our planet’s past. So for me, being able to know
that Mars could have life light years before, there could be a possibility that life in Mars will be
back since, history does repeat itself. ;)
Knowing all these technologies and discoveries, as what I have been reminding
myself, we shouldn’t rely on these things. Instead, we should be contented, thankful and
responsible of what we have now. We can’t just keep on destroying our Mother Earth, over using
of our resources without replacing them and just wait for a miracle that we can move from Earth
to Mars, even if it sounds so amazing and exciting. We should take care of our planet Earth; to
be reminded that everywhere we go, it is like our own home. We wouldn’t just throw our
garbage in our bed, so we should also apply the things we do at home to everywhere we go.
Since in the end, it is us and other animals that are being affected.
Mars’ past can be discovered, and more scientists would be interested in revealing
them. We never know, Mars could have ethnic-alien people, having their own culture and
tradition. But, seeing it like that, our own plant can be distinct and lifeless. We shouldn’t rely
that our past, our culture and tradition can be brought back to the future for them to know. For
future scientist to discover that Earth was also present of life billion of light years before. Instead
we should preserve our own, preserve our mother-tongue languages and be more patriotic to our
country.
This article didn’t just give me new vocabularies; new ideas, new information, but
it gave me insights. It made me compare Mars and Earth, it made me think of “what if’s”. And
with these all thinking and realizing, I learned that not everything is permanent, and that is why
we should take care of each and everything and everyone, because these blessings from God
won’t last long if we will take it for granted, we should be thankful and not only say it but show
that we are truly thankful by simple yet meaningful ways.
