1. Vocabulary:
-Broaden one’s (my, her, his) horizon / widen knowledge/ broaden knowledge (VP)
->well, READING. I’m the type who is really into reading since I acknowledge that reading is
one of the fastest ways to obtain more knowledge and experience. That’s why I allocate/spend
my spare time reading a lot of to become a knowledgeable person.
Ex: well, I spend most of my free/spare time going out and joining social activities to improve
my communication skill since I feel like mine (my communication skill) is STILL
INSUFFICIENT/ INADEQUATE for my future work.
-Go back on one’s (my, her, your) word: break one’s promise.
Going back on my words is not my cup of tea.
-Reach (v, n)
Out of one’s reach.
As a university student, an overseas trip is still out of my reach since international tickets are
prohibitively expensive (…tickets cost an arm and a leg) so I can’t afford it.
