Row Set

1. Switch to General Ledger Responsibility


2. Click at Reports
3. Click at Row Set

4. Click at Define Rows


5. Enter Details such as Line No and Line Item

(NOTE: Line No. should be in sequence such as 1,2,3,4 according to PNL format. For example, for
SALES insert ‘1’, for COGS insert ‘2’.)
6. Click at Account Assignments if the value for the Row is to be derived directly from GL Account
Balances. Define Sign to define the Balance type (Negative or Positive).

NOTE: Credit balances are –ve and Debit Balances are +ve by default in GL. Select a numeric
operator sign (+/-) to indicate whether to add or subtract the totals for the account range.

7. Insert relevant Natural account number.


8. Define Account Segments. Enter 0000 to 9999 for segments if balances are to be segregated in
columns on the basis of concerned segment.
9. Save.
10. Click at calculations if the Balance is to be calculated from other lines.
11. Sequence = Controls the order in which FSG will perform the mathematical
operations of the calculation.
12. Operator = select ENTER + - * / % MODE AVERAGE MEDIAN STDDEV.
13. Enter low and high sequence numbers corresponding to the range of
rows to use in the calculation.
14. Credit balances are stored as negative numbers.
Debit balances are stored as positive numbers.

15. Save.
Column Set

1. Enter Sequence = This determines the order in which column will appear.
2. Enter Position = This determines where the column will appear on the report, in other
words spacing between the columns on the report.
Note: All of the following must be considered when defining column
positions: total report width, number of columns that you need, currency
profile options which determines if values use thousand separators and/or
positive-negative symbols, and page margins.

3. Enter Format Mask to define Decimal Place.


4. Define Amount Type (PTD or YTD). For yearly report use YTD-Actual and for periodic or
quarterly reports use PTD-Actual and QTD-Actual respectively
5. Define Column Name.
6. Account Assignment and calculations are of same concept as Row Set.
7. To define Column Heading, go to Build Column Set.
 Following window will appear and then type the Heading name. Click on Apply:

Define Report:
After defining, following window will appear: (Type Report name, Title name, select Row Set &
Column Set from LOV, click on Define Report Set and Save):

 Now Run Report with name Program – Publish FSG Report and enter values for parameters.
Following report will appear:

(NOTE: The above report consist yearly account (Amount type-YTD) and it includes multiple Mills.
For quarterly or periodic reports, Offsets are used. Offset can be used to show the balance of other
periods than the one used in report
(‘-‘ for previous period, ‘+’ for next period and ‘0’ is for current period).

OFFSET:
Offset can be used to show the balance of other periods than the one used in report.
 Click at Reports
 Go to Column Set.
 Click Define Columns.

 For Quarter wise: insert offset numbers as -9,-6,-3, 0, 3, 6, 9.


 For Period wise: insert offset numbers as -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, etc.
 Heading names would be as follows:

NOTE: As explained earlier that ‘-‘ sign is for previous period, ‘+’ for next period and ‘0’ is for current
period, after running report with name Program – Publish FSG Report, following window will
appear:
Please note that this sample image considers CURRENT PERIOD as AUG-17. It is considering Quarter
wise report from Period October-16 to August-17. The offset number used according to it is:

 -9 = Determining period ending Dec-16,


 -6 = Determining period ending Mar-17,
 -3 = Determining period ending Jun-17,
 0 = Determining period current ending Aug-17.
