DESIGN SOLUTION STAGE

1.Materials considered;
a. If the temperature controlled fan is to be used in an automobile engines or heavy machinery,
the metallic material such as stainless steel will be used for the fan. Also the outer material will
be made of sheet metal. This will help prevent the heat generated from the machines from
affecting the function of the system.
b. Those to be used in air conditions, fans and electrical gadjects for households, offices and
factories will be made of thick rubber.

2. Design solution.
a. A cooling system with a fan outside, alongside cooling fins to draw in cool air and to suck out
warm air. The operation of the fan will be controlled by a motion sensor ; once an individual
waves their arm in front of the system it will begin to function.
b. An autonomous temperature controlled system which operates within a specified or set
temperature range without interruptions from humans. This system will maintain a stable
temperature range in whatever environment or system it is attached to. A suitable thermistor will
be used based on the environmental heat range to control the system in an automatic way. A fan
will also be used to regulate the air in the vicinity.

3.Cost
For the cost; considering the material being used for the fan .i.e using a stainles steel for the fan
will cost more than using a plastic for the fan .Depending on the machine in which the client will
operate the cooling system ,the cost varies but won’t be exorbitant as promised.

4. Safety
The system won’t be exposed to the environment ,it is housed in a squared enclosure which
makes it safe to use, the enclosure helps to prevent exposure to infrared radiation resulting in
several illnesses in the long run.
5.Ergonomics
Machines and humans will are very comfortable with this system because it prevents overheating
and destruction of machines ..the cooling system has no side effects on humans and is a very
helpful system since there will be no need to regulate or control this system.
