Important notice – FAO Offer-holder

Offered students are expected to provide a financial guarantee of their ability to pay course tuition
fees and support themselves throughout their studies (see section 7 of Terms and Conditions). This
guarantee must be received before confirming your offer of a place.

If you are not eligible to receive full financial support towards your tuition fees (ie. student loans),
Central requests that you provide details of a ‘guarantor’ on the form attached.

A guarantor is someone who agrees to pay your tuition fees in the event that you don't pay, for
example a parent or close relative.

If you don’t pay Central any fees owed, we will ask your guarantor to pay instead. If your guarantor
doesn’t pay, Central may take legal action to recover fees owed.

Central may wish to check your guarantor is able to pay the fees in the same way we check your
ability to pay. For example, submission of bank statements.

There is a legal requirement for a guarantee agreement to be in writing. The agreement sets out the
guarantor's legal obligations.

Please ask your sponsor/parent(s)/guardian(s) to send a letter confirming their sponsorship, sign this
form and return it to admissions@cssd.ac.uk.

You do not need to complete this form if you are receiving a student loan to cover all of your
fees.

If you cease to be a student of Central, because for example you withdraw, or because Central
terminates your contract, you may still be liable for any outstanding fees and charges.

If you are a mature student joining one of our courses you may list yourself as guarantor, provided
you submit evidence of your being financially viable, e.g.; in the form of a bank statement.

You may wish to use the Student Funding Plan, also linked to from your offer email, to assist you in
ensuring you are able to budget appropriately.

If the student fails to make payments as agreed, both the student and the guarantor will be notified of
the same.
Independent legal advice
Central recommends that you seek independent legal advice before signing the guarantee.
