RESBAKUNA COVID-19 VACCINATION PROGRAM

NARRATIVE REPORT

Safe and effective vaccines are available that provide strong protection against serious illness,
hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. Getting vaccinated is important to protect self against
COVID-19, help end pandemic and stop new variants from emerging. The Philippine government said that
the roll-out of “Resbakuna Kids” will be implemented in a phased approach, utilizing both hospital-based
and Local Government Unit (LGU) – based vaccination sites, to maximize accessibility to the general
public.

“As we are starting to achieve a majority of fully vaccinated Filipinos, it is now the time to give
our children the protection that they need against COVID-19,” said Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez, Jr.
The Department of Education expressed its proactive support to the pediatric vaccination during the
RESBAKUNA KIDS: Vaccination Roll-Out for 5-11 years old. This vaccination drive for children is vital
to the gradual reintroduction of face-to-face classes and the welfare of the learners.

Prenza Elementary School intensifies the support and commitment to the Pediatric
COVID-19 Vaccination Program through Marilao Municipal Health Office to increase the number of
vaccinated learners.

The Resbakuna COVID-19 Vaccination Program Roll-Out for Prenza Elementary School Learners
was held at Prenza National High School last April 05, 2022. A total of 314 learners aged 5-11 and 12-17
years old were vaccinated. The second and third schedule of vaccination last April 26, 2022 and May 18,
2022 were held at Prenza Elementary School, accommodating 385 and 154 learners respectively.

The school-community partnership between the Municipality of Marilao, Barangay Officials and
the school personnel (Teaching and Non-Teaching), learners, parents/guardians and other stakeholders led
to the implementation of the Resbakuna COVID-19 Vaccination Program. Through the implementation of
this activity, we can move forward towards a safer community, for ourselves and for the children of the
future.
