School on Physics
(Hybrid)

Introduction
The Department of Physics, University of Agriculture Faisalabad is organizing a four-day refresher
course named as 2nd Dr. Riaz-ud-din Memorial School on Physics to build the conceptual
foundations of physics students. The focus of the program is to address the issues being faced by
students in concept development and in problem-solving. The Department will organize this Refresher
Course at its premises from 19-22 July 2022 (hybrid; both physical and online). The current school
will cover three basic disciplines of physics, namely;
• Special Theory of Relativity
• Particle Physics
• Heat and Thermodynamics
The course will be intensive with more than 4 interaction hours per day and selected participants would be
expected to attend with full seriousness. Performance and participation will be assessed through and
online test and Certificates will be awarded to successful candidates.
Due to a limited number of seat selections will be based on academic records and motivation for
participation in this activity.

Participation
Applications are invited from all parts of the country from those who are studying physics (or have got
degrees) at the BS level or above. There is no registration fee for participation.
How to apply
Application forms should be submitted to no later than 18 July 2022 (10 A.M. PKT). The short-listed
applicants will be informed by email once the selection procedure is completed. The application form can
