Residential Water Heaters

– Heaters shall be rated 1.5 kw, 220 volt, single phase, 50 cycle AC and listed by under
writer’s laboratory.
– Heater shall have a maximum working pressure of 150 psi, a nominal storage tank
capacity of 80 liters (unless otherwise specified) with separator ¾" taping for relief valve
installation and arigidley supported anode rod for maximum cathodic protection.
– All internal surfaces of the heater exposed to water shall be glass lined with an alkaline
borosilicate composition fused to steel.
– Electric heating element shall be zinc plated copper sheath, screw in design.
– The control shall include a thermostat with high temperature cutoff.
– The jacket shall provide full size control compartment for performance of service and
maintenance through front panel opening and enclose the tank with foam insulation.
– inlet/outlet connections shall be located in the front or any place helping for easy
installation.
– Outer jacket shall be backed enamel finish.
– Heater shall have 5 years limited warranty for residential installation, 1 year for
commercial installation, as out lined in the written warranty.
– Fully illustrated instruction manual to be included.
– Heater shall meet ASHARE standard 90A-1980 for energy efficiencies and the minimum
energy factor required by “National Appliance Energy Conservation Act of 1987” (NAECA)
