Topic :- INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.

 You are expected to use A-4 size sheets which will be neatly filed by you in an A-4
size transparent plastic file.
 Use of labelled pictures/photographs is essential.

 You may write on the right-hand side page and paste / draw pictures / photographs
on the left-hand side.

 You may write either in blue or black ink. Only Titles/ Sub-titles may be written with
colour pens.

 Criteria for evaluation are Content and Presentation.

Meaning of the Industrial Revolution, the Domestic System and the
Factory System

 Content -
 Imagine you are a worker in a textile factory in the Industrial Revolution period in
England. Write an account of the changes brought about in your working
conditions by the Factory Act of 1802 1 page
 Explain the role of following inventions in ushering in the Industrial Revolution:-
(i) Communication- Telephone and Telegraph. 1 page
(ii) Transport – Steam engine 1 page
(iii) Industry – Spinning Jenny 1 page

 Conclusion-
 Bring out the ways in which the Industrial revolution brought about far reaching
changes in the political and social sphere of the world. 2 pages
 Bibliography / Reference and Acknowledgement. 1 page
