Prepared a report and slide presentation on ONE of the industrial processing given below. Students are required to make a visit to the related industry and the information must be relevance with the given topic. This project must be done in the grouping work (group of 3-4 persons). 1) Surface coating industry 2) Pulp and Paper industry 3) Glass industry 7. agriculture/pesticide 4) Food and beverages industry 5) Rubber industry 6) Textile industry 8. Cement

The content of your project should consist of: i) ii) iii) iv) Background /introduction of raw material Manufacturing process and major equipment involved Contribution towards the socio-economic environment Steps taken to overcome the sustainability issues

Assignment outcome: By having this project, the students should be able to: 1. describe knowledge in chemical process industries in Malaysia and their impacts on safety, health and environment (CO1) 2. explain the concept of sustainable development implemented by the industry (CO2). The assessment will be based on report writing and presentation skills (PO7 and PO8). The report should be submitted during the presentation on week 12.
