Many Students fail in examination because they do not know how to follow

Instructions. Do you believe on this? Why? Explain and elaborate

This is something I believe in. The ability to follow instructions is essential in

everyday life, not just in exams. Following instructions results in varying degrees of
impact depending on the setting and context. In a medical context, for example,
following instructions could mean the difference between life and death. If a
doctor fails to follow proper surgical procedures, it could result in a patient's injury
or death. If a nurse fails to follow medication administration instructions, a patient's
well-being may be seriously compromised. Patients will suffer harm if they do not
follow their doctors' instructions about what types of food they should avoid
ingesting as well as which medications they should never take at the same time.
Failing to follow instructions in the context of an academic setting can hinder
broad sense student learning and development of desired capabilities. When
taking exams, numerous students fail to read the instructions and instead
immediately answer the very first question without considering the proper way of
answering, resulting in erroneous answers. For example, in an examination, if the
instruction says to encircle the letter of the selected answer but the student fails
to do so instead attempting to write the letter of his answer before the number of
the question, the teacher will mark it as incorrect, resulting in a score deduction
and, in the worst-case scenario, failing the examination. Furthermore, because
the universities are virtually taking the examination due to the COVID-19
pandemic, college professors ensure that the instructions they give to students
are understood and followed. If students do not follow the instructions, they will
receive a "0" on the exam, resulting in failings. Following instructions intuitively
entails carefully reading instructional text or paying close attention to verbal
directions and then performing the intended action so that students can avoid
having their exams invalidated and have their total score be valid and pass the
exam
