At University you meet different people from different cultures, religion, ETC (Diversity),

Being engaged in a new environment where diversity is everywhere. University is a place

where we meet unfamiliar things, where we are surrounded by new different people from all
over the world who are specking different languages, people who have different cultures,
different religions, morals, and values. Everyone is unique which gives us an opportunity to
learn new things for example new languages, and you might even learn how to cook food
from different people. But diversity at university does not always has a positive impact to
students in other words it has a negative impact in such a way that students face different
challenges such as being stereotyped, isolated or preconception and it limits communication
among students.

In addition student also experience Academic pressure which might result from a drive for
excellence, parental expectations, sporting commitments, or a demanding course load.
Students are experiencing an increase in psychological problems, panic attacks, burnout, and
sadness. It has been demonstrated that academic pressure causes students to feel more
stressed and anxious, which negatively affects their physical, social, and emotional well-
being. Students may experience pressure to succeed academically from their parents, the
school, professors, society, or even from within. There are many different types of academic
pressure, including self-imposed and external pressure. It can lead to both mental and
physical side effects, including an obsession with grades, anxiety, intense competition,
changes in appetite, working constantly, stimulant usage, sleep problems, social isolation, and
a lack of interest in hobbies. Overwhelming amounts of academic stress can increase the
prevalence of psychological and physical issues, which can have a negative impact on
academic performance.
Again, Psychological issues play a vital role in a person’s life. There are psychological issues
that students do encounter in educational institutions at all levels such as depression, stress,
pressure and anxiety. Numerous factors in a student's life can lead to psychological issues.
The main ones are experiencing discrimination or any form of violent or criminal acts within
educational institutions, pressure of academics with the obligation of success, uncertain
future and difficulties, anticipated for integration into the system, learning disabilities,
difficulties in understanding academic concepts, financial problems, health problems, exam
stress, and learning disabilities. Social, physical, emotional, and family issues also have an
impact on students' psychological issues, which in turn affects how well they learn and
perform in school. Some students struggle and encounter setbacks when dealing with
psychological issues. However other students see it as a challenge and work hard to
overcome it. Typically, students seek help from trained counselors when they are
experiencing psychological issues and feel like they are preventing them from achieving their
academic goals. Physical and mental health can be harmed by psychological issues. The
provision of efficient answers to diverse psychological issues is one of the main contributions
made by students to the elimination of obstacles that may arise during the pursuit of desired
goals and objectives. It is crucial that the kids become aware of the many types of coping
mechanisms. Thus, when the students develop awareness of the various coping mechanisms
according to their issues, they will be able to successfully reduce psychological issues and
appropriately accomplish their personal and professional goals

Moreover, we experience different things in different way, from School to University we find
it difficult to adapt. A lot of things can happen in varsity in such a way that people or students
can be influenced by drugs and alcohol. This can happen due to the environment that the
students are in. They can be easily influenced by other students in such a way that they are
trying to know most of the things in varsity and other people. Some of them become addicted
to drugs and alcohol and cannot find the way out. The environment in which they are in
seems to enable them to do what they want to do and when they want to do it. They just get
really distracted by these substances since most of them lack discipline and focus when they
are not under their parents watch. Therefore, all of this leads to the students be in high risk of
failing their modules and be academic excluded in the school and in risk of being suspended
if they are caught with alcohol within the school premises.

Furthermore, by Adapting to new teaching methods, We come from different experiences that
build the way we overcome certain situation to find solution. High school learning style tends
to be different to varsity. It may involve discipline and consistency of individuals. Varsity life
in terms of learning, learners from rural areas are introduce to information technology
communication networks. There are several factors that differs from varsity, including, class
time where students will attend less than 16 hours a week and the academic year is divided
into two 15 weeks. In terms of the class size, this depends on campus size. In university there
are more than 150 plus students and classes are taught by professors, typically Preferred to as
Doctor. The teaching style in university need a good note taking skills during lectures since a
student is expected to summarise the assigned readings. Professors present summarised
material from textbooks which are usually called slides as well as other several related
academic sources. Time management is one of the fundamental element since a student
manage their own time, whether they attend classes, do their homework and study. Professors
may not formally take a at tendency, depending on the size of a class. Professors at university
usually expect students to visit their office if they need any assistance. Students also have
resources like an academic skills centre or writing centre at their disposal, should they need
it. In terms of study, there is a need to study at least 2 to 3 hours outside a class for each hour
in a class to take up with the coursework.
In brief, Independency is an important aspect of university life as it helps students to develop
skills that will be useful throughout their academic and professional careers. Students who are
independent are better equipped to handle the challenges of university life , including
academic workload , social pressure and time management. To cultivate independence in
university students should focus on building their self-confidence and self reliance. This can
be achieved by setting realistic goals , managing time effectively, seeking out new
experiences and talking responsibility for their academic success. Student when they are in
university, they are on their own ,they are far from their parents or guardians so they need to
make choices that will give them better output and they have to start doing things on their
own .

Further, Students also face peer pressure, peer pressure is when you do something because
you want to feel accepted and valued by your friends. Peer influence can be negative or
positive peer pressure. A negative peer pressure is when a learner is being indoctrinated and
strayed by his or her friends to do activity like Drink alcohol, drugs, do unsafe sex
practices… that can affect the student badly because a student may pay more focus on drugs
and alcohol… and forgetting to do school work as a result a student may end up failing some
modules or dropping out of school and unplanned pregnancy… positive peer pressure..
sometimes the peer pressure on the collage students may have a positive effect on them.
When they stay in a peer group, they will compare to others automatically. If the group and
individuals will have to move forward… for an example positive peer pressure of passing
with distinctions on academics.
Lastly student are Coping with Socio-Political Stress in university, So many uncertain
political times students are facing that make them feel uncertain about the future. University
life is unpredictable, and we know that students face many different challenges that
eventually raise the issue of stress among them. Understanding the challenges of university
life through the eyes of peers and other students is a very difficult thing, but nevertheless very
important, as it plays a big role in making a new community and feeling connected to it
where it is an opportunity to get advice and not feel so alone in your struggle. The reality is
that many people have similar struggles. You may be worried about so many unnecessary
things like, making new friends or fitting in. Also, there are so many things that keep us from
getting well and that lead to stress and uncertainty. Trying not to be yourself, having no limit
on the time you spend consuming news and social media, unable to recognize your limits,
mindful of peer pressure, and also engaging in harmful communication and community.
