1. Research Title

The impact of using Social Media on Body Image and Self-esteem in Adolescents

2. Narrate results of stakeholders’ interviews to support existence of the problems for research.
To narrate of the stakeholder’s interview to show the results and to support existence of the
problem for research it would be the teacher, involving parents, adolescent themselves or anyone
that have been evaluated indicate experience as a result of unfavorable upward comparisons of
one’s outward appearance, spending more time on social media to associated with an intensification
of body image issues in both young men and women.
3. Briefly cite authors and their statements to support your problem which are your compelling
reasons for the study.
Talawar Js, V Kumar - Adolescence and young adulthood are crucial stage in development where
youth begin to form their own identity and create meaningful relationships but the usage of social
media can impact on area of their development hence this paper evaluates the impact of social
media on self-esteem of youth.
Yuksel Sahin F, Oztoprak O -Body image is another important factor that affects self-esteem in
adolescents.
Ah Ahmad, I dris, RML Jing- this research is to identify to what extent self-esteem and the
influence of friends‟ impact children's perception of their body image through social media and
how powerful social media in influencing the body image of children.
4. Discuss how the problem can be solved.
To discuss the problems that we used to give a solution to the impact of social media on body
image and self-esteem in adolescents is a complex and concerning issue. It's important to address
this problem comprehensively, taking into account the various factors that contribute to it. Solving
the problem of social media's impact on body image and self-esteem in adolescents requires a
multi-pronged approach involving parents, educators, mental health professionals, the tech
industry, and the adolescents themselves. By addressing this issue from various angles, we can help
young people develop a healthier and more realistic perspective on themselves and their bodies in

 the digital age.
