INTRODUCTION

When a project starts and mobilize at site, project activities


will also commence.
The Project Quality plan is the reference document to fulfill
Project Quality and must be approved 1month from letter of
award or notice to proceed.
From the Standard Operating procedures to the submittals
and approval to ensure project quality, this is now the period
to implement the project quality objectives, its mandatory
procedures and the technical and engineering requirements
of the project quality plan.
PERFORM QUALITY ASSURANCE

The quality assurance and quality control program must be


implemented as compliance to the company ISO registration.
The Construction Project team will be composed of the
Owner, design professional/consultant, and the contractor.
The process of quality assurance and quality control is a
tedious part in construction supervisions and project
management for client, consultant, and most importantly the
contractor.
The role of the quality manager or engineer is paramount in
all quality undertakings.
PERFORM QUALITY ASSURANCE

And the quality engineer or manager will lead the Project key
staff from the project manager to its engineers, and project
support.
Perform quality assurance for an ongoing project is required.
Contractor have incorporated Audit Plans as one of the
mandatory requirement in the submission of Project quality
plan.
During project execution, the contractor has to follow and
implement its Audit plans at scheduled intervals throughout
the duration of the project. This type of audit conducted by
the contractor is called Internal audit or 1 st party audit.
PERFORM QUALITY ASSURANCE

Quality assurance program is an initiative of the owner or


client.
Performing Quality assurance is always necessary through
a formal audit;
Usually conducted by the owner through its internal team or
representative.
PERFORM QUALITY ASSURANCE

The client implementing a Project Audit is a follow up activity


of its quality assurance program to determine if the project
quality plan is followed by contractor and comply with
establish procedures and project requirements, this type of
audit is called 2 nd party audit, conducted by the client to
contractor on quality performance.
PERFORM QUALITY ASSURANCE

The role of Consultant is to implement the Owner/client


Quality Assurance program. Quality audits and inspection
will be the consultant main role in implementing project
quality.
The big task of Performing Quality Assurance is now
transferred and under the responsibility of the Contractor,
through its submitted Project Quality Plan, reviewed and
approved by the Consultant and Client.
PERFORM QUALITY CONTROL

The contractor will execute the project and must ensure that
quality control procedures must be followed for each
activities on a daily basis.
The main Quality Control Procedures of the contractor are
the Main activities and sub activities covered by the Project
quality plan; and to do this contractor need to ensure the
process of document submission and approval of Method
Statement for these key activities.
PERFORM QUALITY CONTROL

Activities must be covered with Inspection and Test


plan(ITP), Request for inspection to activities undertaken
and to obtain sign off(or approval) from Consultant
Engineer/Inspector so that work can proceed to the next
step.
And contractor to initiate the process of Material inspection
for all materials to be use, approved and delivered at site in
the same manner to obtain sign off or approval from
consultant engineer/inspector.
