Analytical paragraphs:

On page 73, the graphics show a clear image of where this incident is taking place. Caesar’s
assassination takes place at the Capitol. Caesar was warned by his wife not to leave the house that day
as it was the ides of march, and the soothsayer had warned Caesar about this day. Caesar ignored his
wife, and still went to the Capitol which he was tricked into going. The scenes clearly show that all of the
conspirators are trying to get closer to Caesar to assassinate him, but Caesar doesn’t know that. This
takes place at the Capitol. The capitol is a place that represents honor and integrity. This place was also
the place that Caesar was supposed to be crowned. Instead, he ends up getting assassinated there.

On page 73, we can also see that the conspirators and Caesar himself are standing right at the feet of
Pompey’s statue. The graphics show a clear image of that. After defeating Pompey, Caesar and the
fellow people of Rome were very excited. Celebration were taking place and Caesar was about to be
crowned. Brutus saw, that if Caesar was going to be crowned, he would grow like “a serpent’s egg”. His
assumption caused him to assassinate Caesar for the betterment of Rome. Caesar was tricked into going
to the Capitol and get assassinated. After defeating Pompey, Caesar was supposed to rise to power but
instead is on the ground dead right at the feet of Pompey’s statue.
Referring back to previous pages, we can tell that this incident is taking place at the ides of march. If we
look back the soothsayer had warned Caesar about the ides of March saying “Beware the ides of March”
Caesar took a minute to hear and understand what the soothsayer had said. Then he turned his back
towards the soothsayer, and said “he is a dreamer, let us leave him. Pass” Showing that he completely
ignored the soothsayers warning. Before leaving the house for the Capitol, Caesars wife also warned him
and explained that she never believes these kinds of saying but she is worried for Caesar. Caesar ignores
his wife this time and acts overconfident and reaches the Capitol, and ends up getting assassinated at
the ides of march.
