"Attributes Of Leader And Why It Is Important That We Have A Leader"

Leaders are people who act as role models by doing the right thing and encouraging

others to do the same. They must have fundamental aspects such as vision, courage, integrity,

confidence, and humility to execute their skills in their diverse places of work effectively.

Leaders utilize their vision as a guide to help them achieve their goals. Daft (2014) asserts that

leaders create, express, and passionately own the vision in a good working environment,

pursuing it to fruition. By being visionary, leaders know work and precisely comprehend what

juniors are doing to win their trust. They ought to be intelligent enough to delve into complex

issues and try to find solutions. Furthermore, they should be logical thinkers who evaluate a

situation's positives and negatives before drawing conclusions. As a result, maintaining a

cheerful disposition and a level head is critical.

Leaders must also have the courage to follow through on their goals, no matter how risky

they seem. It is challenging to do anything if a leader lacks the courage and willpower to do so.

Leaders must also have a strong sense of morals and integrity. Leaders who are steadfast in

pursuing their goals and advocacy are committed to seeing it through. Humbleness is a hallmark

of excellent leaders. Confidence and humility are a part of their character. In addition, strategic

planning is a strength of great leaders since they can foresee future possibilities and threats with

a high degree of accuracy (Daft 2014). This makes leaders unique and stands out from the rest of

other employees. They can enlist the collaboration of their subordinates.

Leaders play a significant role in their working fields, both for themselves and other

employees. Leaders initiate action by communicating the plans and policies to the subordinates

from where the task must start. This is an act of offering guidance and supervision of what is to

be done by juniors to ensure it is done in the best way and to completion. In this case, advice

implies that leaders instruct assistants on how to carry out their tasks efficiently and effectively.

They play an incentive duty in all work concerns, motivating the workers with both economic

and non-economic gifts and rewards and thus getting the work from the juniors.

Leaders create confidence about how work should be done to workers. Leaders boost

their subordinates' confidence by letting them know how much effort they put into their work

and explicitly defining their part in the process (Schneider et al., 2017). They also critically listen

to the concerns and grievances of the workforce. By so doing, leaders boost the morale of

workers. The term "morale" refers to the willingness of the workers to cooperate with their work

and gain their trust and faith in the organization. A leader can increase morale by ensuring that

all team members are working together to attain their objectives.

To sum up, leadership is an important part of human life. Leaders are found in diverse

places, including workplaces, learning institutions, social groups, churches, families, and their

own lives. Everyone should be a leader in one own life to administer informed choices oneself.

Leadership skills are established from a young age and are impacted by natural abilities, talents,

and personal involvements and experiences. Youth programs and learning institutions assist train

youngsters and adolescents in obtaining leadership capabilities.
