Intended Use
This Track-Type Tractor is a machine for high production earthmoving that is described by "ISO 6165:2006". The Track-Type Tractor
is classified as a Tractor-dozer. The tractor-dozer is a self-propelled crawler with equipment such as a dozing attachment which

The capability of the brake is equal to the ROPS capability of 48150 kg (106153 lb) when the slope is less than 45 degrees.
To obtain the proper lubrication, a maximum slope should not exceed a grade of 100 percent or 45 degrees.
Special attachments and operating instructions are required for waste handling applications, forestry applications, and other custom
configurations.
Expected Life
The expected life, defined as total machine hours, of this machine is dependent upon many factors including the machine owner’s
desire to rebuild the machine back to factory specifications. The expected life interval of this machine is 12,000 service hours. The
expected life interval corresponds to the service hours to engine overhaul or replacement. Service hours to engine overhaul or
replacement may vary based on overall machine duty cycle. At the expected life interval, remove the machine from operation and
consult your Cat dealer for inspect, repair, rebuild, install remanufactured, install new components, or disposal options and to
establish a new expected life interval. If a decision is made to remove this machine from service, refer to Operation and
Maintenance Manual, "Decommissioning and Disposal".
The following items are required to obtain an economical expected life of this machine:
• Perform regular preventive maintenance procedures as described in the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
• Perform machine inspections as described in the Operation and Maintenance Manual and correct any problems discovered.
• Perform system testing as described in the Operation and Maintenance Manual and correct any problems discovered.
• Ensure that the operating weight does not exceed limits set by manufacturer.
• Ensure that all frame cracks are identified, inspected, and repaired to prevent further development.
