Industry Background

Most of the clothes and bags manufactured today are composed of synethic fabrics, plastic and
harmful chemicals. This has greatly contributed to the process of global warming. The growing
concern for global warming boosts the demand for organic products. With chemicals taking a
toll on human health and environment, more and more people are becoming conscious of living
life; the 'organic way'.
Eco friendly products combining high quality with socially conscious
environmentalism has become a faction, and is in vogue Eco friendly labels are now appearing
on many products, due to the efforts of the companies to be perceived as environment friendly.
Health concerns represent a potential source of benefits and demand for organic apparel. Our
company deals with the manufacturing of eco-friendly paper bags.
'Green bags' is made from hundred percent organic materials like
soy, organic cotton and hemp. Variety of bags like wallets, minimalist wallets, purses, bags,
clutches etc. Not only the fibers used for manufacturing the bags are organic, but the dyes used
in the process of making these bags are also environmentally friendly, or those which have a
less impact on the human skin.
Eco-friendly products are a step towards nature conservation.
Manufacturers of today are considering organic bags to be ethical, and are striving to set new
market trends. Apparel business is very enormous, and there is always a resistance to change.
But with consumers dictating the market today; having an 'organic wardrobe' depends wholly
on the consumer's choice. The bottom line of every market is 'demand', and manufacturers will
only do what the consumers' desire.

Market Mix
Product:
Green marketing is all about the product. The whole point is that this one is different, it doesn’t
just do what it says on the tin, but it also takes into account a whole lot of things that most
other products don’t. In a way, you can say that your product is a hell of a lot bigger than
everybody else’s product. Don’t forget to use that when you are talking about it. Green
Marketing begins with ‘green design’. Product design constitutes an active interface between
demand and supply.

Price:
Pricing green products and services seems difficult, but it shouldn’t be.
In business. If you can offer a lower price than (green-A), don’t offer the lowest price you
Think you can do (you might have missed something), but you may undercut your competitors
a little. If you find that (green-A) is a lot lower than you think you can do , find out how they can
do what they do, and make your business decisions accordingly. If there is no (green-
A), it’s OK to make your offer somewhat higher than the non –green equivalent. But if you find
that (non-green-A) is a lot lower than you think you can do, you need to put your creative
thinking hat on. The price of green product has to be affordable for the customer to encourage
purchase.

Promotion:
This is what everybody thinks that marketing is about: getting the message out about your
product or service. Promoting green products has a lot of pitfalls, but there is one simple
exercise that can help you a lot. Imagine that everybody in the world who may need your
product or service, was already using it.
Not to excess, not any more than they actually need, and those people
who don’t need it aren’t using it. What would the World look like? Use this vision in your
promotional materials to show that you understand what being green is about. Companies that
do green advertisement that tend to portray an image of environmental friendliness, influences
their customer purchase decisions. Consumers love to associate themselves with companies
that are environmental stewards. When a company communicates this through their
advertisements, promotions, publicity and corporate social responsibilities, they are sure to get
many loyal customers.

Place:
The environment where a sale happens can have a big impact on the outcome. If you can, in
every little way you can, make this environment more natural and eco-friendly, your chances of
making an eco-sale will increase. Green distribution is a very delicate operation. Customers
must be guaranteed of the ‘Ecological nature’ of the product. The green environment is a
constantly regulated environment and as such high level of compliance is necessary when
carrying out distribution of green products. This is a common procedure in the United States
