Reflection on Face to Face Learning

I learned a lot about face-to-face classes. It allows me to answer activities with the help of my
peers and instructors. I was able to understand and answer the question in an instant. I got to
exchange ideas with them and thoughts about our given tasks. We learned the importance of
teamwork and participation. Face-to-face learning is very effective because students learn skills and
knowledge in a variety of ways such as writing, reporting, presentations, practice and oral recitations.
It also helps us in communicating, which will be very useful in the future, and we have the opportunity
to connect with people who surround us. When I’m at school, I’m always active and driven because
engaging with a person is much easier than engaging with a computer or gadget, what I like best
about this type of learning is that I can avoid distractions and complete my tasks peacefully, whereas
with modular learning, I struggle to concentrate and focus. Face to face communication is extremely
beneficial because we have access to school libraries, computers, and instruments that can help me
hone my knowledge and skills. Face-to-face interaction is more important than online training for
greater clarity and understanding. In modular learning, I’m disappointed because sometimes I can’t
access the internet and we have poor connection in our area. As a result, I can’t pass my module on
time. However, there are similarities between modular and face-to-face learning. We must have self-
discipline and motivation. Whatever you choose must have this because you cannot achieve anything
without it.
I’m really pleased with the overall experience of implementing the limited face-to-face classes;
the professors and faculty members did an excellent job. I’m truly impressed since they went through
so much to make it a success. They are always concerned about our safety, which makes me happy
because they treat us as if we were their own children. The fact that they still follow safety
precautions like wearing a mask, washing their hands, and social separation is what I found most
intriguing. Despite the fact that there are no more records on COVID, they nonetheless strongly
advise students to follow the safety measures. This made me thankful to have professors who
actually care about and encourage us. They are my second parents since I can learn a lot from them.
And also to my family, friends, and classmates who truly motivate me because without them, I could
not have overcome these life challenges. Being supportive and present during ups and downs is
enough for me. In conclusion, face-to-face learning has been extremely beneficial to students
because it provides an entire experience that can not only be heard but also seen and felt. I can
determine the type of learner I am. By identifying my learning style, I will be able to use my
knowledge to guide me in the future. According to the Association for Talent Development (2016),
“the dynamic relationship shared by learners and educators is one of the key elements of the learning
process”. After further reflection,I believe that the success of this learning is determined by the
individual's willingness to learn.
