TICKET-IN WEEK 8: Class Task # 2 Preparation

Prepare answers to one of the following questions based on your role, as agreed with your group. Base your answers on
your experience and on relevant information search (statistics, examples, articles, figures, studies, etc.). Please add as
much information as possible and be specific. Only information from websites in English is allowed.

Activity 1: Identify your question:


1. Where will you probably work and what kind of tasks will you have in your profession?
2. What will the role of technology/robots be in your profession and tasks?
3. How much will you earn (in Colombia or abroad), and what factors will affect your income?
4. What extra education and/or training may you need, and where can you study those?

Activity 2: Information to answer your question: Paraphrase and sum up relevant information (using language and
grammar units 1, 2 and 4) that you can use, from websites in English.

Before finishing my degree, at the Universidad de la Sabana I am going to do a minor in Marketing Analytics as a
degree option, in which I will be able to enrich my knowledge regarding decision-making and the implementation of
analytics applied to marketing.
When I am already a professional at the University of La Sabana, I will apply for a scholarship at Indiana Tech in the
United States in virtual mode, since there they offer me a scholarship for Latin Americans and also in the master's
degree that I want to study: master’s in business administration (MBA), in which for a year I will learn the skills to be
a strong leader in today's market.

Activity 3: Prepare concrete samples of Language: Based on the information (Activity 2), prepare appropriate
grammar and vocabulary to use in your presentation. Write 4 key phrases applying future forms and predictions.
 Future forms with going to, will, and gerunds.
 Predictions with will certainly/definitely/probably; certainly/definitely/probably  won't
 Predictions with may, might, could.
 Study & work vocabulary.
1: I could and should study a semester in another country since that is how I put my second language into practice.

2: I am going to do a minor in Marketing Analytics at the University of la Sabana.

3: I will apply for a scholarship at Indiana Tech in the United States.

4: After study, I will definitely get a job and for that I will need to have a good CV.
