TECHNICAL MENTORSHIP INITIATIVE 23 March 2022

Subject Cross-CP Technical Mentorship Funding

Purpose
To provide financial support for the Technical Mentorship initiative. The initiative is principally for
smaller CPs who do not have an experienced CP expert/mentor and hence require some cross-CP
assistance from larger offices.

The outcomes of the Technical Mentorship initiative should promote a culture of excellence and
innovation within the SRK Group, demonstrating SRK’s commitment to the continued development
of technically excellent work.

Demonstration of CP collaboration
The Technical Mentorship funding proposal must demonstrate collaboration between CPs. SRK
experts to participate in technical mentoring of staff in offices who do not have an experienced CP
expert in the required discipline and hence require cross-CP assistance.

Technical Mentorship Program

It is expected that each mentorship relationship will be undertaken remotely at a regular and pre-
arranged time, as agreed between the mentee’s CP Manager, mentor and mentee. The mentoring
pairs must agree and set an agenda, the outcomes and document the achievements.

Type of support provided

It is intended that the funds provided by TeCo will be for the mentor’s time undertaking the
mentorship program, at ‘salary cost x 1.5’ rate. It is expected that requests will be up to US$5,000,
though consideration will be given on a case by case basis on larger requests.

Duration of funding
The expected duration of the funding should be stipulated in the application but it is expected for a
period of up to 12-months. If required, the mentorship program can be extended with a new
application, if re-motivated and approved by TeCo.
