Time: 2-4 mins


Ask general questions to get your students to relax, for example: How do you feel today? How was your weekend?
Have you seen any good films recently?
Then, write on the white board "Detox" and ask the following question: What does this word remind you of? Elicit
some answers: diet/alcohol/no smoking/ clearing the body etc. Add the word "Digital" on the white board and
ask the same question. This time elicit: mobile/time limit/blue light/games/social media/ addiction etc.
Distribute worksheets to your class. Encourage a short discussion.

Time: 5-6 mins


Introduce the task. Read out all the words but make sure you know how to pronounce them correctly. If you have
any doubts - try dictionaries online. Instruct the class to work individually and to complete the exercise. Provide
sufficient time. Then ask students to compare their choices. Read words and elicit correct definitions. Correct
pronunciation on the spot and go to the next part of this exercise.
