The organization structure of NGO

The structure of the Kirrak media is quite basic i.e., Flat Organization. It consists of its Co- founder
Sanket Keswani, who just recently started the company in February 2020 in partnership with
Algorithmics International school, he is an alumnus of Amity business school and has his master’s in
marketing, along with 4-5 employees and numerous interns working at Kirrak media under Sanket
Keswani.

Internship activity
Business development is a combination of strategic analysis, marketing, and marketing. Experts in this
field can be involved in everything from the design of products and services to their employers to the
development of marketing strategies, the production of marketing products, negotiation and closing
deals.
The main task the company in its marketing, generating sales and advertising. Marketing at work,
was to participate in numerous parties and meetings, including identifying market needs, and
designing promotional materials, and interacting with team members to evaluate current marketing
activities. For the purpose of marketing and sales the following activities were performed:

• Collecting qualitative and quantitative data from previous campaigns as well as on going
• The competition analysis and industry analysis
• Marketing assistance in solving everyday administrative tasks
• Managing and updating customer relationship management (CRM) systems and company
databases
• To help you with business and marketing, organizing events
• Preparation of presentations, advertising materials
• Help with the distribution of marketing materials
• Provide assistance with advertising and marketing campaigns through online forums, social
networks, and direct mail
• Observing and carrying out sales processes.
• Conducting desktop research, or gathering information through surveys or by speaking to clients
and staff.
• Making calls and sending emails
• Identifying potential weaknesses and offering improvement suggestions.

For the training, these were the key points learned to make a successful sales call:

• Speak to a decision maker.

• Discover the need.
• Construct value.
• Establish urgency.
• Speak regarding what and how it benefits.
• Discuss opportunities
• Make an attempt to close.
• Cope with doubts and problems.
• Close or set a follow-up.
Limitation
The only limitation of this internship was being online:

• Due to online internship, I was not able to gain the full experience of what its like to work with
people in the office.
• In virtual internships, the whole lot of things are dependent upon connecting and communicating
matters and ideas clearly through emails or videoconferences. Hence, miscommunication if
things get a little disorganized.
• It is easier to lose focus if not working in an office setting
• Lack of networking opportunities

Reflection of Internship
Throughout my summer internship I was part of the Algorithmics business development and
marketing them. I had little experience from the marketing and sales, but I knew it was
definitely a company that interested me. I had also heard about the wonders of Algorithmics
international school bring recognized by popular magazines like Forbes and Global Franchise
and was eager to learn more. I had never heard of Algorithmics before, but I was prepared to the
work culture and what it would be like.

From the commencing, I was convened with respect and understanding. I was treated like an
intern, not just a student. If there was something I didn’t know, there was always my mentor to
ask for help. Since my mentor was only one I had to report to and seek understanding from, my
mentor often shared what tasks were to be done and materials which I could use to improve my
marketing and sales. Since we had to take care of all aspects of the marketing and sales work, I
learned about many different strategies and got a complete picture of how the role of marketing
and sales could be improved. Throughout the process, my ideas were listened to and were
applied, thus motivating me to perform even better further.

I was given the opportunity to interact with clients and audience, I listened to their needs and
wants and was challenged with coming up with such strategies that would satisfy our customers
and audiences, apart from that, for marketing there was content to be broadcast on channels such
as website, and social media, driving me to constantly to improve my writing skills. I had to
understand what works and what doesn't work for our audience and how I can draw their
attention. By getting constant feedback from my mentor, I learned a lot about the product itself
and the company. I did some research and made sure that what I was proposing to my audiences
was correct, because it was often on technical topics that had to be read by people were not yet
much aware of it
Conclusion

In a nutshell, this summer internship has been excellent and rewarding. I can conclude that I have learned a lot
from my work at Kirrak Media. Needless to say, the technical aspects of the work I have done are flawless and
can be improved if given enough time. As someone who has no previous experience in the corporate world, yet I
believe my time to spend as an intern, should also have contributed to the acquisition of acceptable and satisfying
experience. My apprenticeship taught me a lot about my skills and gave me confidence in my ability. It helped
direct my career aspirations and will definitely help me choose a career for the future. I also gained technical
knowledge in everything to do with marketing and sales as a whole. I left my internship, with my skill sets much
enhanced than when I started. The knowledge I gained will help me to face the real world after graduation. My
experience has brought me closer to my goals and I am excited about what the future will bring.

Learnings
With this internship opportunity, with Kirrak Media, I found out what my biggest strengths are, as well
as areas of improvement I should work on. The key learnings from this internship that I acquired are:

1. Professional communication:
One of the most important skills I have gained in an internship is the ability to communicate with
people in a professional setting. Conversations with mentors or colleagues are different from
conversations with teachers or other students. After completion of my internship, I had a better
idea of how to behave as a professional. This will help me a lot when I start looking for jobs
because I will be more confident, and I shall understand what suits in a business setting.
2. Taking positive constructive criticism well:
Naturally, no one likes to be criticized and performance tests can be quite scary. I most likely
make a few mistakes and received constructive criticism of my work from my mentor
But I learned to not take it personally. It was for the benefit of me and my growth which helped
me improve the quality of my work.

3. Hard work is important:

To keep working hard even if it is small and insignificant. It helped me build a good work ethic.

4. Independence
Usually, we think that spoon feeding is a learning process, but working independently has proven
to be very important. My internship taught me to make my own decisions and do things on your
own.
Usefulness of the project to other
parties

Apart from numerous benefits that the internship has provided to me, other parties such as for the
university is also useful, as it has given its students the off-campus experience, where knowledge to put
into practicality, also this offers an evidence for the academic department of university, to display the
skills and knowledge I gained during my studies and how I applied it to my internship. This is also
useful for the faculty member and career counselors, and it give them a rough idea and help them
determine if I am appropriate for this field of work and can guide a career path accordingly. It is also
useful for the organization as they can determine whether to hire student or not, might as well offer for
placements at university. Further, after recommending the company to other students it will be useful for
the students as it will help them enhance their career development as well as for the company who shall
receive good reviews along with growth.
