MAINTENANCE
PREPARE MACHINE FOR MAINTENANCE,
Before performing the maintenance procedures given in
the following chapters, oark the machine as described be-
low, unless cthenwise snected
1. Park the machine on a level surface.
Lower the bucket to the groung
2. Tun the auto-idle switch off
IMPORTANT: The turbocharger may be damaged if the
engine is not properly shut down.

Tur the key suitch OFF Remove the key fom the
key switch, (if maintenance must oe performed with
engine running, ce nat leave machine unatlended |
6. Pullthe plet contra’ shut-off lever (1) to the LOCK,
postion
7. Before performing any work en the machine, attach &
“Do Not Operate’ tag on the ngil contro! lever
& Ground Disconnector .
This machine 's equipped with a battery ground ds-
‘connector located outside of engine unit compart-
ment on the right side The battery grcund ercut ean
be disconnected by pulling disconnector lever (2)
down before replacing the battery, checking the elec
treal system, or performing welding work on
machine
IMPORTANT: Do not pull the ground disconnector
down while operating the machine. mvc
