Fact About Money
Money such as interesting topic to discuss and to trace back since nobody is not
familiar with this things. The following paragraph are some fact about money
Let's start with the definition of money. Money is a system of value that
facilitates the exchange of goods in an economy. Using money allows buyers and sellers
to pay less in transaction costs, compared to barter trading. Money is used to pay for
various goods and services. It is also used to measure and store values.
Money is usually in the form of coins, banknotes and bank balances. There are a
number of different currencies used in countries around the world. Many countries have
their own currencies, while some use a common currency. An example of a common
currency is the euro which is used in the European Union by countries such as France,
Germany, and Spain. The most traded currency worldwide is the United States dollar.
Other widely traded currencies include the euro, the Japanese yen and the pound sterling
(British pound). It is believed that products such as livestock and grain were used for
barter (exchange of goods and services without using money) more than 10,000 years
ago.
The first coins were minted (made) about 2,500 years ago. Paper money was first
used in China more than 1,000 years ago. The advantage of metal coins is that they are
easy to carry and durable. The original value of one British pound was equal to one
pound (by weight) of silver. Coins and banknotes are popular items among collectors,
especially those that are rare, old, and misprinted. Inflation reduces the purchasing power
of money over time
