I. Change the following sentences from DIRECT to REPORTED SPEECH.

Reported speech (Yes / no - questions)

7) They asked, “Did the concert start late?”

Reported question: They asked if the concert had started late.

8) The girl asked, “Can I go out?”

Reported question: The girl asked me if I could go out.

9) She asked me: “Did you recognize him?”

Reported question: She asked me if I had recognized him.

10) He asked me: “Do you like apples?”
