The ubiquity of data and the growing interest of organizations to employ Machine Learning(ML)

to prospect businesses is downright fascinating. A recent O'Reilly study found that 51% of
organizations are already using Machine Learning(ML), with 36% claiming to be early ML
adopters and 15% claiming to be sophisticated users. This proves that the significance of data has
paved the way for a meteoric rise in the adoption of machine learning approaches across business
domains. Since my undergrad days, I've been in awe with the applications of MI, and my
inclination towards a career in data science stemmed from my belief in its unsubstantial
potential. What drives me further is my love for programming languages as I have actively
associated myself with diverse technologies that make use of some of the relevant subjects in this
domain.

My flair for the rapidly advancing technology was laid during my adolescent years when I first
gravitated towards mathematics and computers. From writing codes to spending hours on the
computer to understand the software and hardware, I knew early that this field would satiate my
intellectual curiosity. This is palpable throughout my academic scores in my higher education,
that secured my admission in Computer science and engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru
Technological University Hyderabad(JNTUH). The college prospectus is immense and has
touched various computer science facets with distinctive importance on Machine learning and
data analysis. Being embossed by Netflix and Amazon's recommendation engines, I was
intrigued by the implementations of its algorithms, which sparked an interest in me to propel
toward exploring further into the expansive pool of AI and ML technologies that implement
complex algorithms.

I believe that inheriting theoretical know-how alone cannot match the practical experience. In the
pursuit, I was involved in several academic projects. In particular, my project on Named Entity
Recognizer for Indian language Hindi deserves special mention as it helped rekindle my
excitement about the subject and the streams associated with the same. The work exposed me to
the world of classifying content for news providers, Powering Content Recommendations,
Efficient Search Algorithms, and bolstered my knowledge in python, AllenNLP Framework,
Pandas, Numpy, and Scikit-learn. I also developed an Online cafeteria food ordering system for
college, which helped me make inroads in the web-development using HTML, PHP, JAVA-
SCRIPT, CSS, and SQL. The outcome of the aforementioned thesis was phenomenal and well-
appreciated by my peers.

Intrigued in the domain, I have always been conscious of acquiring the skillsets that would hold
me in good stead for my future. In pursuance, I completed the professional certification of
SONET (School of New and Emerging Technologies) in machine learning. I received a
professional data science badges from IBM in my undergrad and a silver medal in joy computing
through python from NPTEL(National program for technology-enhanced learning) from the
Government of INDIA. I also spent my spare time learning Data pre-processing techniques,
feature engineering, and model creation concepts from web-resources like Udemy,Coursera
which has enlightened me, showing the magnitude in providing solutions to different data
convolutions. Devoting ample time to these courses was bounteous and made my connection
with the domain even more vigorous. Since the 21st century is marked by unprecedented
technological growth, and no sector, from healthcare to education and from security to
electronics, is untouched by technology's determinant role, I wish to develop mastery over it and
reach greater heights in the field. Therefore, it wouldn't be wrong to say that my undergrad
journey played an indispensable role in shaping my willingness to pursue higher education in the
field while allowing me to postulate techniques for combating and mitigating the existing
discrepancies.

I also boast my credible extracurricular skills by partaking in several productive symposiums,

debates, and discussions. I'm accredited as an efficient public speaker and have mentored many
people to become public-speakers as necessary in today's world. Besides, I've put social
responsibilities at the forefront by contributing to the NGOs and participating in activities for the
underprivileged. All through my career, I had the opportunity to interact with a host of like-
minded colleagues who hail from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. These
interactions were advantageous in the long run and helped me evolve as a better professional and
a much-evolved human being. I feel that my interactive and communication skills are on point,
and I've it in me to mingle and become a cohesive part of a global community.

I painstakingly chose Florida International University due to its towering presence among global
universities offering on-campus masters of science in data Science. The erudite professors,
academically fecund ambiance and the opportunity to interact with illumined minds from across
the world have inspired me to go for Florida International University.

In today's complex business environment, data plays a significant role in aiding executives,
especially in larger enterprises, to make well-informed decisions for optimizing business
strategies. As universal sentiments emphasize the increased adoption of data approaches in a
range of business areas, I wish to assist organizations with entrepreneurial growth in leveraging
data analytics and its versatile tools to solve issues across diverse verticals. The thoughts of data
science and analytics usually strike my mind and coerced me under the ideas to achieve
something big. Food is essential to living on this planet. Yet, agriculture is a highly neglected
industry. Even in the era of the 21st-century, farmers are bound to live a miserable life. Some of
their challenges are Compromised Food Security, Degrading and Undervaluing Farmland, Cost
of Industrial Agriculture, and broken supply chain to retail stores. My long-term plan is to build a
data-driven smart industry connecting the farming and the retail sector-- an ecosystem to help
farmers in their planning by offering comprehensive research of farmland, target market,
industry trend, and services for the supply chain. Therefore, I firmly believe that if given a
chance to pursue a Master of science in data Science, I'd be able to embark on the much-
anticipated journey that involves exploring the depths and make significant contributions in
research and scientific breakthroughs. Strengthened by my solid foundations and aspiration, I
hope my application is positively received and acts as a springboard for me to embark on this
quest for excellence.
