 LAB PRACTICAL ACTIVITY:
INVESTIGATING FORCE AND ITS EFFECTS

Main Objective:

To design, perform and communicate an

investigation that demonstrates balanced and
unbalanced forces and their effects.
 Specific Objectives:
- Identify forces acting on a system and
determine whether they are balanced or
unbalance
- Analyze the effects of balanced and unbalanced
forces on a body
- Draw and analyze free body diagram for
different physical situations
- Discuss the result of investigation using the CER
 PRODUCT: Pair Work
Laboratory Report that contains:
I. Title of the Experiment
II. Problem - state the purpose of your
experiment and what you will try to
answer. Identify the variables
(dependent, independent, constant
variables)
III. Materials - list down all necessary
materials with appropriate description
and quantities
IV. FBD diagram - show and label properly
all the forces acting on the body
V. Procedure - step-by-step process of doing the
experiment with safety precautions
VI. Data and observation - include computations
and measured data organized into a table or
graph
VII. Results and Analysis - follow the CER format
VIII. Citations - all sources in APA style
IX. Documentation - include photo of the
following:
- Experimental set up
- Materials and equipment used
- Person doing the actual experiment
VII. Results and Analysis - follow the CER format

Claim: a conclusion that answers the problem

Evidence: scientific data that is appropriate and
sufficient to support the claim
Reasoning: a justification that shows why the
data counts as evidence to support the claim and
includes appropriate scientific principles.
 STANDARDS

Output will be graded based on the lab report. See

attached RUBRICS on schoology.

NOTE:
