General Mechanical comments for booster water pump

1-It is not accepted to submit one VFD drive for only one pump; each pump shall be equipped with its own
VFD drive.
2- The selected motor is no accepted; the motor efficiency shall be premium tupe or minimum efficiency shall
be 89.5% as per ASHRAE standard 90.1.
3- country of origin must be clearly indicated in submission.
4-The selected motors must be non-overloading at any point in pump characteristic curve.
5-the quoted pumps' system curve shall be plotted as per total flow rate of the set.
6-Curve for variable flow operation to be submitted.
7-The selected motor shall be suitable for VED operation.
8-Technical selection, calculation and material specification of hydro-pneumatic pressure tank to be
submitted.
9-Pressure tank shall be ASME section VIII certified and stamped as per specification section 15450.
(alternative equal and approved international standard is negotiable)
10-Technical selection and material specification of booster set piping, valves and accessories to be
submitted.
11-Complete arrangement drawings showing all booster set accessories to be submitted as you complied.
12- Confirm that packaged booster pump model ----- is suitable to serve treated water.
13-Hydralic calculation should be submitted showing available NPSH and actual total head.
14-the contractor shall submit drawing for inertia base detail according to pump size.
15- Test and warranty certificates should be submitted.
16-submit vibration isolation and seismic qualification certification according to section 15071 (Mechanical
vibration isolation &Seismic control).
17- All control panels shall comply with NEMA ICS 2 and UL508
18- pumps should be dry-running protection, so level switch to be provided.
19- Control panels should be compatible with BMS system.
20-All pumps should be equipped with strainer on suction line.
