AS-IS Process at MIL


 Raw Material and Packaging Material got purchased from only approved vendors.
 Approved sample material along with quality parameters has been kept for the reference purposes.
 RM and PM provided by the vendors should be as per the quality standards.
 There is no as such provision of performing quality inspection for every lot of RM or PM. However,
random inspection could be done as per requirement.
 Quality of each component like upper, sole, insole etc. got checked by respective individual
department at factory level.
 After the approval, material got issued to assembly store. As per the capacity of line
assembly store then further issue the material to production for assembly process.
 Following are the example of quality test performed during assembly process:
o Lab test
o Internal QC
o Final QC after packing
 Before packing 100% final product needs to be checked at factory level.
 Approved assembled finished goods moved to finished goods store.
 Quality inspection based on AQL sampling is done at FG store.
 If AQL is passed, then it will be ready for shipment. Else, it will be rechecked by factory QC
based on 100% sampling process.
 For any factory’s new order, pilot run took place. Quantity of pilot run is not fixed.
 Factory run includes all the technicalities of production and quality processes.
 After the approval of QC, bulk production will take place.

Expectation/Requirement:

 Only approved material should be issued to assembly store.


 Finished goods should be inspected as per AQL
 Manual inspection is required for RM and PM. Can be systemized in future.
 AQL inspection should be linked with sale order, along with the specification.
 SAP should generate Quality Audit report as per the format.
