Job purpose
The ICRC is looking for an ICT Specialist to be based in its Mandalay office. The ICT Specialist will be
mainly responsible for installation and maintenance of all ICT systems and services in the area covered
by the Sub-Delegation. The employee reports directly to his/her direct supervisor in Mandalay Sub-
Delegation and to the ICT Coordinator in Yangon Delegation.
Main responsibilities
§ As an ICT specialist, you will organize and carry out ICT field- second level support services in the
area covered by the sub-delegation.
§ You will monitor ICT installations throughout a wide region and in consultation with ICT coordinator
and hierarchical superiors, take appropriate measures to guarantee their evolution and their proper
functioning and that policies and procedures are followed.
§ You will independently contribute to the definition, documentation and support transition of new
standards related to computer and telecommunication infrastructure.
§ You will ensure ICT inventory is updated regularly and maintain adequate stocks levels, and make
sure existing ICT infrastructure is functional and meeting the ICT Compliance check list.
§ Moreover, you will ensure that global/country-level policies and procedures are implemented and
followed.
§ You will brief, advise and train end-users and peers on the ICRC's ICT systems.
§ In addition, you will report regularly to the Deputy / Head of Sub delegation and ICT Coordinator.
§ Furthermore, you will assist to the ICT Coordinator to implement the Institutional ICT projects.
§ As part of your duties, you will provide ad-hoc ICT support to sub-delegations in Myitkyina and
Lashio.
