 Employer – means the Management of the School.

 Employee – means any member of teaching or non-teaching staff


 Teaching Staff: Teachers means the trained Teachers who are having the professional
certificate or any other relevant recognized qualifications and or teaching experience
in relevant subjects. It will also include Physical Training Teachers, Music& Art
Teachers, Sport coaches, Computer Teachers and Teachers associated with Extra
Curricular Activities.
 Non-Teaching Staff: Non- Teaching Staff means the employees who are not
connected directly with teaching.

Classification:
1. Teaching, full time
3. Visiting / Consultant/ Temporary category.

 Each category has separate salary structure / fees / consolidated payment


 Visiting faculty gets either consolidated amount per month or per session fees.
 On confirmation, the candidate moves to new salary scale.
 Confirmation of the employee will be decided on fulfilment of requirements, the
appraisal in the domain.
 Working hours would be 6 hrs per day which translates to 30 hrs per week.
 Appraisal: Appraisal will be conducted once a year. If a candidate performs below
expected level, then he/she will be given a chance to improve and then a second
Appraisal will be conducted.

Scale of Pay, Allowances, Benefits of Employees:


 At entry level: For full time teaching staff they would be paid domain, qualification,
work experience +30% of base salary + other allowance perks as per eligibility.
 2nd Year of service: Regular annual increment 10% on salary and other perks and
allowances will continue
 3rd year only for employees who are eligible for confirmation - Confirmation salary
will be given.
 3rd year for employees who are not eligible for confirmation will get regular 10% yearly
increment of the salary component only.
 To be paid within 3rd of the month and 2% increment for every day of delay.
Leave
1. Privilege Leave (Earned Leave)
 Vacation pays for all teaching staff including Diwali, Christmas and Summer and Winter
vacations.
2. Casual Leave
 Teachers up to twelve days in a calendar year. In special circumstances, a teacher may
be granted special casual leave to the extent of five days a year in addition to the
normal casual leave of twelve days.
3. Maternity Leave
 All female Workers shall be given 6 months of maternity leave if pregnant.
 The above leave shall apply to female Workers who undergo a miscarriage.
 All male Workers are to be given 6 months of paternity leave if their partner (wife or
otherwise)
4. Extra Ordinary Leave (crisis leave)
 If for any unforeseen reason a teacher or a non-teaching employee of a school
fails to attend his or her duties and if there is no other leave due at his or her credit,
he or she may be granted leave.

Other Privileges:
 Fee waiver for staff children will be given only if they are part time/ full time as per
level definition.
 Clean washrooms to be provided in accordance with statutory requirements in all
workplaces.
 Facility for free tea/coffee to be made in all workplaces.
 Eating area to be provided in all work places.

Resignation
1. If an employee, at any time after confirmation, intends to resign, he/she shall give 1
months’ notice in writing.

Termination
1. Services of the permanent employees may be terminated after giving 3 months’
notice in writing or an amount equal to 3 months’ salary in lieu of notice period.
2. Immediate termination may be made if the Worker in question has been convicted of
a crime of significant moral turpitude or the same has been recommended by the
Internal Complaints Committee or Local Committee under the Sexual Harassment of
Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
3. Whenever any employee appointed for a specific period in any category employment
will get terminated automatically from on the last day of the specified period
unless the contract period is extended by the Management in writing.
Annual increment:
 For confirmed staff: The annual increment cycle for confirmed employees being
July, will be applicable to the staff that have got confirmed 6 months before. If not,
they will get in this cycle of annual increment from the next academic year.
 The annual increment will be as per 6th pay commission i.e. 3%. This increment will
be given every year in the month of July. If an employee has joined in May / June, his
or her increment in next cycle and not immediate July.
 If a confirmed employee has gone in the unpaid leave category of more than 8 days,
then his/her increment will get postponed to one year, as per 6th pay norms.

As a hardworking and focused person, I have always believed that it is the ability of a person
to keep learning and developing oneself through diverse experiences that makes him/her
prepared for the challenges of the future. Regardless of the academic choice, we must always
try to equip ourselves with insights and skills required to build a gratifying career. This
understanding has always helped me in my academic performance and growth. Now that I
have come to the end of my academic path and I have been trying to mold my professional
skills, this aphorism has become even more relevant to me to grow even more skilled in my
academic choice.  As I am getting into a field of profession that is riddled with fierce
competition, it is particularly important for me to be prepared for these challenges. When I
began learning about the industry, I realized that there are numerous opportunities for law
professional like me to undergo extensive law internship programs with established law firms
and lawyers in order to fine-tune my skills and knowledge in the field. Such experiences will
give me immense industry exposure and the platform needed to develop my professional
skills sets even more. Hence, I decided to secure law internship from ABC Associates.

When it comes to my academics, I have always been a responsible and inquisitive learner. I
always tried to understand the nature of the concepts that I learnt while understanding its
social and legal implications. This immensely helped me to look at various legal matters,
laws, and arbitrations in a new light. In addition to being excellent during my academic
escapades, I have also actively participated in various extracurricular activities and events.
These have given me plenty of opportunities to work towards common goals with teams of
different people having different understanding.  All these interactive and challenging
experiences have helped me mold my personality and develop my communication,
interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. I am confident that
with that these skills will become great important for me sooner during my internship and
later in my career.

When I began thinking about my future prospects after my academics, I understood that the
competition in the field is extremely high and one needs to be exceptionally skilled to create
an identity and brand for oneself in the industry. I have learnt that the most important aspect
of building a suitable and rewarding career is to have matchless exposure to the industry.
Developing insights from the same which can be used to further fine-tune one’s skill sets and
knowledge in the field. Therefore, I knew, before getting into a job, working under
experienced and established a law firms would give me the opportunity to have hands-on
learning experiences all the while having mentors to support my growth and development. As
an internship would give me plenty of opportunities to work with established lawyers and on
various legal matters with the oversight of experienced professionals, I realized that an
internship would be the most sensible and value-adding step that I can take now for my
career. I also understood that the internship would also endow me with the occasion to work
in a professional environment facing real challenges of the field while having someone to
help and mentor me. Hence it became apparent for me that doing an internship is the best
option for me. And I made the choice, final.
I made my decision to apply for the internship from the ABC Associates because of the
reputation that the firm holds in the field. I carried out expansive research to learn about the
firm and it has helped me understand that it manages of various arbitrations and offers legal
advices to various established businesses in the field. I was confident that it could give me
immense opportunities that I have been expecting to leverage to grow in my career. All these
reasons encouraged me to choose to carry out my internship from ABC Associates.

I am extremely confident that the internship experiences at the firm would mold me to be a
skilled and insightful law professional as required by the industry. I consider the opportunity
to become a part of your firm a privilege that I will always strive to honor by working hard
persistently. I am extremely excited to become a part of your firm where I will be able to
grow under the tutelage of some of the most experienced and knowledgeable law
professionals.
