in trenchless projects. The use of lower insertion forces
allows contractors to reduce the size of machine required to
complete an installation, saving money, energy and physical
space at the job site.

\ KWIK-ZIP \ OVERVIEW TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Which centraliser do I use?

Selecting the most appropriate centraliser is largely based

on the intended application, once the right series has been
selected, work out which model to use based on:

1. The diameter of the pipe you are using, and;

2. The space available between the outside diameter of the

pipe and the internal diameter of the hole - this determines
which bow height to select on the centraliser.

The bow height to use should always be less than the

measurement of C.

GT EXAMPLE

A = 100mm inside diameter of external pipe or hole

B = 32mm pipe

C = (100 - 32) ÷ 2 = 68 ÷ 2 = 34mm

Select the bow height that is closest size available A = Diameter of the hole
to but less than 34. B = Outside diameter of the pipe
Product Selection: GT 30-1 (30mm bow height) C = (A - B) ÷ 2 = C

HDX EXAMPLE

A = 458mm inside diameter of external pipe or hole

B = 355mm pipe

C = (458 - 355) ÷ 2 = 103 ÷ 2 = 51.5mm

Select the bow height that is closest size available to but less
that 51.5

Product Selection: HDX 38 (38mm bow height)
