ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM

What is learning?

- - is the acquisition of knowledge or skills through experience, study, or by

being taught.

What is Quality Learning?

- is defined as the degree of learning excellence, which emphasizes aspects of

the process or outcome or both.

Importance of Quality Learning

• It lays the foundation for equity in civilization. This is possible by breaking

the poverty cycle, reducing inequalities, and achieving gender equality.

• It is the key to meeting the goals of standard global development.

• It makes the students capable of contributing their best in both individual and
community developments. It focuses on the social, mental, physical,
emotional, cognitive, and economic development of every learner irrespective
of their race, ethnicity, gender, geographical location, or socioeconomic status.
 • Through quality education, an individual can seek better job opportunities,
progress with sustainable livelihoods, and have a healthy lifestyle. Best
delivered education spurs innovative minds.

• Well-educated masses can tolerate the resilience of the communities and

become a part of a peaceful democratic society.

Learning Enhancement Program

- aims at bringing about qualitative changes in children with a robust framework

touching the critical academic areas of education as they are.

Elements of Learning Enhancement Program

 Literary and Drama Activities:

- These activities are designed to enhance Literary Skills like speaking,
reading, writing, theatre, etc. The focus is on enhancing self-awareness, social-
awareness, self-esteem through activities, debates.
 Sports and Games:
- Physical Education curriculum at the school provides a program of
instruction for the development of the whole individual through physical
activities. This is done by emphasizing the relationship between the physical,
intellectual and emotional well-being of the students. By engaging in sports,
students learn leadership, self-management, integrity, responsibility,
collaboration and communication skills.
 Environment and Outdoor Education:
- Outdoor education (OE) is the use of outdoor journeys for life-long play,
enjoyment, adventure, health & well-being, fitness and socialization. Outdoor
education skills are a tool to facilitate exploration of natural environments.
From exploratory walks in the early years to the investigation of the
environment in which a journey is conducted from a scientific, indigenous,
sociological, cultural, economic and personal perspective for senior years, OE
aims to develop decision making, relationship building, grit, critical thinking
and problem-solving skills.

 Learning Enhancement categorizes the practices in place which reflect the

school's commitment to ensuring that each student is given the opportunities
necessary for her to make meaningful progress in learning.
