ABSTRACT

With advancements taking place and with the advent of modernization, it is necessary to
improve quality and efficiency of education. Improving quality and efficiency of education
would enable the individuals to satisfactorily achieve academic goals and enhance the standing
of educational institutions within the community. It is necessary for the principals, heads,
educators and other members to pay adequate attention towards bringing about improvements
in the quality and efficiency of education. Furthermore, students would also feel pleasurable
and develop interest and enthusiasm towards enriching their academic performance. The main
areas that have been taken into account in this research paper are, strategies implemented by
teachers to improve quality and efficiency of education, additional ways to enhance quality and
efficiency of the system of education, and improving quality and efficiency of education
through effective administration.
In the system of education, there are differences in terms of national education sectors, cultures,
and stakeholders. Stakeholders include, students, teachers, policy-makers, business
community, unions and so forth. All the individuals need to work in co-ordination and
integration with each other to enhance the quality of the system. Quality in the system of
education is referred to the concept, which is evolving at a rapid pace over a period of time.
Quality of education primarily is focused upon the learning achievements of students, and
bringing about reformations in traditional curriculum and standards. Another aspect of quality
is, it pertains to the relevance of what is taught and learned.
Quality is a perceptual, conditional and subjective attribute. So far as the objectives of quality
schooling are concerned, there is a need of objectives, for we share a common earth. We are
facing some challenges now a day, like environmental problems, poverty, gender inequality,
child labour etc. These problems have their solutions in joint efforts. The paper would also
discuss the possibilities of framing such objectives which are necessary for quality schooling
for a rural side.

CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION
Education is fundamental for achieving full human potential, developing an equitable and just
society, and promoting national development. Universal high-quality education is the best way forward
for developing and maximizing our country's rich talents and resources for the good of the individual,
the society, the country, and the world. India will have the highest population of young people in the
world over the next decade, and our ability to provide high- quality educational opportunities to them
will determine the future of our country.
The world is undergoing rapid changes in the knowledge landscape. With various dramatic
scientific and technological advances, such as the rise of big data, machine learning, and artificial
intelligence, many unskilled jobs worldwide may be taken over by machines, while the need for a
skilled workforce, particularly involving mathematics, computer science, and data science, in
conjunction with multidisciplinary abilities across the sciences, social sciences, and humanities, will
be increasingly in greater demand. With climate change, increasing pollution, and depleting natural
resources, there will be a sizeable shift in how we meet the world’s energy, water, food, and sanitation
needs, again resulting in the need for new skilled labour, particularly in biology, chemistry, physics,
agriculture, climate science, and social science. The growing emergence of epidemics and pandemics
will also call for collaborative research in infectious disease management and development of vaccines
and the resultant social issues heightens the need for multidisciplinary learning. There will be a
growing demand for humanities and art, as India moves towards becoming a developed country as
well as among the three largest economies in the world.
Knowledge has now become a tool for development. The rapid growth of elementary education
over the year sometimes has resulted in the dilution of its quality and standards. Quality, impact and
relevance are the important criteria. Today's competitive environment demands better quality of
education.
Quality education opens up new vistas of development of humanism. It transforms human being
into noble souls and an asset to the universe. The quality education enhances dignity and self-respect
of human beings.

CHAPTER 4
METHODOLOGY

Quality means “degree of excellence”. Quality is a value. It is multiple rather, than unitary in
nature. It is abstract than concrete. It has a flexible nature. It is transitory and not static. It cannot be
one and the same for everywhere and in every situation. When considered in the context of education,
quality means perfection, standard and excellence in terms of learner’s satisfaction as well as
fulfilment of the needs of the society. The quality education is one that satisfies basic learning needs
and enriches the lives of learners and their overall experience of living.
Quality of education reflects itself in multiple facets of life transcending from individual through
national to international roles of an individual. It we compare the qualitative aspects of material things
and education, we find that the quality of any product can be quantified, measured and compared with
other products but the quality of education cannot be measured easily, for education is expressed in
service, in behaviour and duties.
Improving the quality of education in villages is indeed a significant thing in the progress of a
nation. The progress of the nation directly depends upon rural education system of that country. The
improvement of the education quality can be considered as developing the students’ way of studying
something, guiding about their future’s vision, informing them about the current affairs etc.
Some other considerations which we’re going to apply in this activity which are very much
essential for present day competitive world are:
• Informing the students about the new NEP (National Education Policy) which was framed in the year
2020.
• Informing the students regarding some of the useful techniques on guessing the correct option in
Multiple Choice Questions.
• Guiding the students to develop their soft skills like leadership quality, communication skills etc.
• Creating awareness and informing about the competitive exams they are going to face in future days.
• Guiding the students on the effective ways of learning to study for their upcoming examinations.

CHAPTER 5
IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGY

The effectiveness of any plan depends on its implementation. Such implementation will
require multiple initiatives and actions, which will have to be taken by multiple bodies in a
synchronized and systematic manner. Therefore, the implementation of this plan is done by a group
of 20-25 members. Implementation will be guided by the following principles:
• It is important to implement the plan initiatives in a phased manner, as each point has several steps,
each of which requires the previous step to be implemented successfully.
• Comprehensiveness will be the key of success of implementation of any plan.
• Since the quality of the education is a concurrent subject, it needs careful planning, joint monitoring,
and collaborative implementation between the members of the group.
• Timely infusion of requisite resources at the residence as well as the institute will be crucial for the
satisfactory execution of the plan.
• Careful analysis and review of the linkages between multiple parallel implementation steps will be
necessary in order to ensure effective dovetailing of all initiatives.
Government schools in villages serve the majority of children in our country and unfortunately
these schools are always neglected. Hence, the need for the development & Improvement of education
system in India is very much essential.

Reasons for the failure of Rural Education in villages:

1. Poverty is one of the most critical problems faced by the rural area people.
2. Adequate teachers are required.
3. Lack of illiteracy on the part of the parents in rural areas.
4. Lack of library, laboratories and books facilities.
5. Lack of Infrastructural Facilities in Schools like
a. Classroom Space for learning.
b. Computer Facility.
c. Drinking Water facility.
d. Toilet Facility

Plan of Action:

1. Conducting English classes on weekly Basis

books can be given to them who perform well in the class.
12. Creating awareness about the NEP so that they can inform their younger ones to proceed in the
correct path.
13. Informing them about the competitive exams like NTSE, CET and other exams they are going
to face in their future days.
