Pre-requisite: Social Studies.
Objectives
1) Have the knowledge of knowledge about changes that took place among the major cultures
of world.
2) To develop knowledge and understanding of a range of movements, events and
developments of the modern world in their historical context
3) To familiarize the students about the changes in the history of the modern world
4) Understand the History of Europe and the three principles like ‘Liberty, Equality and
Fraternity’ of French Revolution paved the way for independence of many nations.
5) It highlights the concepts, theories and contemporary state of development administration.
Outcomes:
1. To familiarize students of law with the history of Europe as many international laws/ human
rights/ humanitarian laws emanate from developments in Europe. (PLO 3a)
2. The History of Modern India and Europe is essential because many revolutionary changes
that took place in India and Europe not only deeply affected the people of India and Europe
but also the whole world. (PLO 3a)
3. To identify the factors World Wars. (PLO 3a)
4. To create an understanding among students about the liberal ideas and freedom struggles

5. To familiarize the students with the concepts of Nationalism and the formation of nation
