II. Learning Competency: Proves two triangles are congruent. (Code: M8GE-IIIg-1)
III. Learning Objectives: Through this LAS, learners are expected to:
1.1. Prove two triangles are congruent using SSS and AAS Postulates; and
1.2. Apply triangle congruence in real life situation.
SSS Postulate: If the three sides of one triangle are congruent to the corresponding three
sides of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.

If SI ≅ EY, SM ≅ LE and MI ≅ LY, then
ΔSIM ≅ ΔLYE by SSS Postulate.
AAS Postulate: If two angles and the side opposite one of the angles in one triangle are
congruent to the corresponding parts of another triangle, then the triangles are
congruent.
