AUDI Arabia is planning
to build the world’s
largest structure, the
120-kms-long skyscraper called
The Mirror Line within the $500-
billion Neom project.
The Mirror Line will comprise
two glass reflective buildings
measuring up to 488 mts high,
running parallel for 120 kms
across coastal, mountain and
desert terrain, according to doc-
uments seen by The Wall Street
Journal.
The two buildings will be con-
nected via walkways, and a high-
speed train will run underneath
them. The structure is expected
to cost a whopping $1 trillion
upon completion, and is projected
designs such as integrated ver-
tical farming, a marina for yachts,
and a sports stadium built up to
305 mts above ground.
The structure is the epicentre

BU Dhabi is expected to experience
a boom in construction with the ad-
dition of 28,000 residential units en-
tering the market taking the total to 2,58,000
units by 2023 following the government’s
initiatives to stimulate the property sector.
A report by global consultancy CBRE
said that changes in the freehold law that
have enabled expatriates to own freehold
property in over 15 designated investment
zones is expected to have a positive impact
on the residential market.

residential purchase decisions in Abu Dhabi

Visa system in the UAE, that offers a 10-

S India opens its borders
post-Covid 19 pandemic,
the Ministry of Tourism
has been organising a series of
virtual roadshows in collabora-
tion with Indian Missions abroad
to reconnect with and welcome
back partners in the interna-
tional travel and tourism indus-
try. As much as it is aimed to be
an update on Indian tourism, it
is also an initiative to rediscover
old ties and explore new oppor-
tunities for the future.
Recently, India displayed its
diverse and unique tourism prod-
ucts at the Italy edition of the
‘Incredible India Reconnect
2022’ virtual roadshow. Sharing

Director-General (Tourism), Min-
istry of Tourism recalled the
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s
slogan ‘Chalo India’ and invited
five non-Indian friends to visit
India. “The diaspora should talk
about India’s diverse tourism of-
ferings in their daily workplace
and interactions. India is a tourist
destination that offers the most
economical and the most luxu-
rious of tourist offerings at each
of the 170 declared tourist des-
tinations in India. Tourists want
to experience India in a deep
and authentic way, hence we
are taking forward-thinking steps
with respect to rural and home-
stay tourism to enable the
same”.

heritage, wildlife and nature as
well as medical and wellness
tourism is popular in Italy. The
country’s success story in vac-
cination has allowed for tourism
recovery at a faster pace than
was predicted by global thought
leaders, like the UN World
Tourism Organisation and World

dia is one of the only countries
in the world to have a dedicated
ministry and action plan towards
India entering the league of countries

N the year 2008, when the
world was facing an eco-
nomic crisis and recession,
there was an atmosphere of pol-
icy paralysis in India. But, at that
time Gujarat was taking new
and big steps in the field of fin-
tech, and that idea has pro-
gressed so far today, said the
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Services Centres Authority (IF-
SCA) headquarters in GIFT (Gu-
jarat International Finance Tec)
City, Gujarat, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi said, “we have
to remember that a vibrant fin-
tech sector does not mean just
an easier business climate, re-
forms and regulations. It is also
a medium to give a better life
and new opportunities to the
professionals working in different
fields”.
Launching the India Interna-
tional Bullion Exchange (IIBX),
India’s first international bullion
exchange in GIFT-IFSC and the
National Stock Exchange (NSE)
IFSC-SGX (Singapore Ex-
change) Connect, Mr Modi said
today it is very significant for
the growing economic and tech-
nological strength of India and
also for the growing global con-
fidence in the prowess of India.
As grand as this building is in
its architecture, the IFSCA head-
quarters will also create unlimited
opportunities to make India an
economic superpower.
The Centre will promote in-
novation and will be an enabler
as well as a catalyst for growth.
Institutions and platforms will
help 130 crore Indians to get
connected with the modern glob-
al economy. India is now entering

thusiastic about Indian culture,

“we are creating awareness
about India’s rich and diverse
destinations through tailor-made
thematic trips to India by expos-
ing tourists to yoga, music,
dance, and architecture. India
is a must-visit experiential trans-
formative destination”.

signal of the continuing efforts
of the Ministry of Tourism to
encourage bilateral tourism by
recognising the issues, chal-
lenges, and opportunities be-
tween India and its top 20
source markets, sowing seeds
for new ideas and relationships
for a brighter future for Indian
tourism.

HE bilateral trade between
India and GCC grew from
$87.35 billion in FY 2020-21 to
$154.66 billion in FY 2021-22,
registering an increase of 77.06
per cent on a year-on-year ba-
sis. Since FY 2017-18, on a
compounded annual growth rate
basis, bilateral trade between In-
dia and the GCC has grown by
10.57 per cent, said Anupriya
Patel, Union Minister of State for

the Central government towards
enabling India to be able to in-
fluence global bullion prices as
a principal consumer.
NSE IFSC-SGX Connect is
a framework between NSE’s
subsidiary in the GIFT IFSC and
SGX. Under Connect, all orders
on Nifty derivatives placed by
members of SGX will be routed
to and matched on the NSE-
IFSC order matching and trading
platform. Broker-dealers from
India and across international
jurisdictions are expected to par-
ticipate in large numbers for
trading derivatives through Con-
nect. It will deepen liquidity in
derivative markets at GIFT IFSC,
bringing in more international
participants and creating a pos-
itive impact on the financial
ecosystem in the GIFT IFSC.
