GAC WAREHOUSE
GAC-Qatar was established in the year 1979 and is one of the key players in the country in integrated shipping and Logistics services. Almost all of the Logistic facilities currently operated by GAC are run within rented/
leased properties. With the advent of the Free Zones in Qatar, GAC has decided to make long term capital investments in Qatar.
This project is a proposal for a Warehouse for GAC at Ras Abu Fontas - Airport Free Zone.
The Site is located in the newly developed Free Trade Zone within Rasbufuntas.
The Site has a total area of about 40,000 sqm and has roads on all four sides. Site access is available on both the longer sides.

DATA CENTER AT QSTP
SITE
The Site is located towards the north periphery of the Qatar Science and Technology Park in Rayyan. The site is accessible from Doha primarily through the Doha Expressway, Al Rayyan Road and further via. secondary roads around Qatar Foundation.
Doha Port, which is the closest Port to the site is at a distance of 15 Km from the site. And, Hamad International Airport is at a distance of 23 Km from the site.
The site vicinity consists of an IT Park, Office Buildings, Residential Villas and Healthcare centre.
.
SITE LINEARITY
The dimensions of the site, namely the width of the site being
only 53m was a challenge during the initial designing stage.
The building footprint had to be designed with a restricted
width so as to accommodate the driveway and truck parking
SITE bays on site. However, the linearity of the site enabled the
building to grow longitudinally.
CONCEPT
The design of the data centre has been developed around a modular concept in which functional modules
or pods can be ‘plugged in’ and duplicated along the site. Each module consists of a number of units
placed together to form a single module.
The pre-fabricated modules would be deployed and assembled on site as and when required thereby
enabling the data centre to keep growing over a period of time.
Each data centre module houses IT Racks as well as Service spaces required for the IT Racks to function
hence making it a fully functional unit.
Each module is divided into two Zones spread across two Levels:
Level 1: IT Racks and cooling units
Level 2: Service Spaces such as the IDF, Power Modules, Mechanical Rooms etc.
